I am only 2750 rpm or so at 75 mph. And my mpg is in the very high 20's at that point.

    7MGTE T4 Turbo advice (PT5857 vs 60-1)

5857? That souns like a T04E wheel. My Boss Jr with its 58 a/r has it in 57. I have a stock automatic, so the power curve isn't comparable until I get the valve body done, and the lock up controlled. But it responds much faster than yours. You do know the 60-1 will make more peak power? Is the...

How to install my cold Air intake? ( mass air flow sensor)

You don't have a mass air flow sensor. Not even close. You do have what is called the vane airflow meter, which provides a volume measurement. Taken with engine speed and the baro sensor, the computer computes the mass. And you have to use it. You can get a hot air kit (stock is cold air...

    Launch recommendations?

Just a heads up. MT now has an ET Street that is a radial, and not bias ply.

    firing order

Although the adjecent coils on the pack are so because they are companion cylinders in the cycle. Just not what he wrote.

    firing order

I had to double check what he wrote. I saw 1-6 and went straight to reply. Good catch.

    TSRM section for heater core?

The core on my 5.0 from a decade and half ago leaked. Dash removal was a part of the job, at 9.5 hours R&R. Same thing, coolant in the cabin. Only worse. Some came out the defrost vents. Blah.

    firing order

Both are correct. The top is the firing order. The bottom is the coil pack. The adjacent numbers are adjcent because they are companion cylinders in the cycle.

    grinding valve shims...

Yeah, really. Funny what you say looking at your post. You need a different car. A VW Bug with hydraulic lash, then you don't have to buy shims. Or hood struts. Or anything else. So long as there is no question as to why the Supras will never be sold, but crushed. Although JJ's joke about...

    3.58 Ring and Pinion

There is nothing to go taller. You can swap the whole housing and do some cutting and welding, that is it. The aftermarket doesn't go taller. This includes Jawgear, unless they just don't post it online. I was looking for a 3.5ish myself.

    VIN Breakdown

JT2MA70 JT2MA71 Without going through all the coded parts.... 70 and 71 is the series. Not turbo directly, but that is how Toyota used the VIN to identify. M is the engine, A is the chasis. Trans is not in it directly, but it is by serial number from Toyota.
