    Supra Mk3 Tuning

I recomend a hot wire mass airflow sensor with its bridged resistors. It takes an accurate reading, unlike KV which is really good, and speed density which is also a really good guess. Too bad we don't have one, because the market doesn't ask for it.

Sort of like what that jack ass thief said below? Obama and Romney would be proud of you. Well done!

Trying Lexus AFM with 440's on stock CT26 for benefit of community

At lower power levels, you don't need that big of an injector. If yours ran bad, you had other problems. You do need the bigger injectors with the different airflow meter, which is what the question is. That is risky with cast pistons. Then you had something wrong or did it wrong, as 550's...

Canister in friont of starter, what does it do? is it needed?

That is a vacuum resevoir for the variable intake manifold. How narrow of a powerband do you want?

    Fuel Injector wiring.

He said the engine was out of time by quite a bit.

    Fuel Injector wiring.

The TPS and airflow meter share 5 volt refrence, called VC on the diagram. I would think about it for the 31 and 41. They also share E2 ground, but with other things that you don't have a code for, so that isn't it. 52 is a very safe tune because the PCM can not reduce knock. So the mixture is...

    Supra Mk3 Tuning

Your unit from SP has a bigger compressore than my old fashioned TO4E. Fuel cut is from the PCM guess at air flow into the engine, main input being the AFM. ECT is a correction factor, along with HAC, and IAT. Ne (engine speed) is also a main input for factor.

A340E shift solenoids. Anyone tried any other than Toyota OEM?

I am thinking Toyota doesn't make them, but can't be certain. More likely the company Aisin. The A340E is said to be manufactured by AisinWarner. Aisin makes Japanese parts, and Borg Warner doesn't exist any more after being consumed by Tremec. So you might try and find the parts that way...

    Coolant or water wetter?

There are other coolants you can use that are not over priced like Toyota factory red. I hate to say it, but that price is absurd.

    Supra Mk3 Tuning

That is exactly it. The larger meter allows more air at a slower speed. That raises fuel cut. The larger injector makes up for the false signal. Yes, fuel cut from over boost is based on how much air the PCM thinks (calculates) is going into the engine. I can do 18 psi with my Boss Jr 57...

Fuel pump upgrade & wiring 12v

Well, put the ice cream down. Toyota doesn't run the pump without an airflow meter signal. Which is quite common. Many manufacturers run the pump for a couple of seconds to prime the system and make for easier starts. Notice they don't have hard starts when hot and are aged. That is one of...

Why are you even trying to see what you can get away with? Why not just do it right?

Out of spec clearances on cams.

I don't understand. Valve lash is not set by the wear on a cam lobe. How did you measure the cam lobe that is out of spec, and why then go into valve lash? I assume (my mistake) you meant lash all along. Valve lash is the gap between the base circle and the shim. So lash is too large on all but...

    Coolant or water wetter?

20/50 oil and water wetter. But its the car not the owner. First, the cooler thermostat doesn't run cooler. Even if the gauge says so. That 160 is when it starts to open, that is the minimum temperature it will maintain. Not the maximum, the minimum temperature. The heat will not transfer to...

    3270 lbs street car

Forget the CF, which is way over priced and just use fiberglass or aluminum. If you want to know how light, look at the Ferrari F40 and its magnesium, aluminum, kevlar and loads of carbon fiber. 2400 lbs. Then again, if you don't care how much it costs, or care how ugly the weave is, then go...

cold Air intake vrs stock on NA?

The turbo engine (7MGTE) doesn't have a MAF, mass airflow sensor, since we want to play those games. That is a karman vortex generator which gives an increase in volume where as the vane airflow meter like in the 7MGE wouldn't. All I did was pass along useful information from the picture IJ...

    Jonah 91 white package

Your long trip mpg will go up with cruise control. Long trip doing something like driving from the Buckeye state to SILV. Keep it 70-75 and you will hit close to 30 mpg. If you stay out of boost. Fuel trim will hit you if you can't control yourself.
