I tinted my Mk2 tails about half that dark and never got heat once in 7 years, so I'm doing my Mk3 tails for sure.

I'd probably redo the IC pipes. My spearco replica has really strong fins that don't really bend. I wouldn't want to be cleaning bugs out of something that the fins are gonna get bent out of shape.
