Sounds off. My Mk2 seals were the exact same size as the old ones, and fit very snugly in the housing. They had a large metal ring around the rubber seal.

It takes some serious force to get them out. You may be able to jam a prybar in between (using the round shaft end) and hamer it in like a wedge. It would be ideal to have a proper puller but it requires a special SST (toyota tool)

They do quality work but only the areas of the seat that touch your body are real leather, the rest is fake leather. It is more $ to get 100% leather. Lots of people in the group buy were pissed because they felt ripped off, but either way, it looks the same, the quality is good, and the price...
Strange problem, mine never does that at all. The previous owner never took it out so perhaps unworn bolts and seals are the answer. I do use a corldess ratchet so it's a bit tighter than a hand tool would be.
