What I'm looking at: Unorthodox lightened crank pulley and underdrive pulleys in general.
Threads I've eyeballed in reference: #1 , #2
Everybody, I understand that the Unorthodox crank pulley is not dampened and is "destined" to tear apart the bottom end from what I've been searching into...
Oh man, I just woke up with a headache... I don't remember much of the details of the night, but it involved throwing my roommates chihuahua across the room onto the couch for taking a dump in the house.
And that's why I'm never taking my mk3 to school.
My DD has been hit so many times by cars at school, shopping carts, random rocks, a hubcap now and then, wood that flew out of someone's Home Deport rental truck... and an old lady driving a battle cruiser cadillac 2 days ago. :3d_frown:
Well now, that really depends on what you're planning to do with it once you buy it.
IMO, every mk3 is worth looking into. Why? Cause chances are, I'm going to tear into it and build it into something that's worth looking into for myself.
ARP Head Studs = FTW!
Don't forget there's 2 different types to go with on the ARP hardware. The bolts have their threads on the bottom towards your block, and the studs have threads on both the bottom & top where to will attach to the head. You'll get better clamping for about $15,
+1 on that staging guide.
Horses cost some sort of money, if you can't do it now, just wait until later. Besides, once you do some upgrades the chances are you're going to want to go bigger. That too will cost money, and it's not typically something that can be set on a budget. Mmm... money...
Haven't been asked that question yet, unless he heard about the 2J swap, :dunno:
Who doesn't?? Actually, doesn't she have some TV show where she picks some lucky guy to bone her?
edit: I can't use proper grammar.
Are you talking about a boost leak? I took this section from the DIY Boost Leak Thread. Here's a snippet of info from that thread: The air escaping through the leak was measured and considered in calculations when the ecu assigned the correct amount of fuel for the mixture, but the ecu does...
R154 is ftw. If you're being aggressive on reverse it can grind on you.
Citing a thread for tricks getting into reverse: Here.
Having some good lubrication in the tranny makes a world of a difference, and here's a quote from the TSRM pulled from the above thread: "If it is difficult to shift...
If you've got another car, put the supra away so you can tear it down for a rebuild. OR you can go for the Redneck Rodknock Fix and repair that way. Give the car some love and it'll give you some right back, :icon_razz
