Stage 3 I believe is a puck clutch, so no marcel springs. As the clutch breaks in it gets better, or it could be an issue with the diff (what was replaced in the diff?)

Why? Because she's trying to save him a ton of money/time/heartache? Just because it can be done, doesn't make it a good idea.

Keep in mind that MKII's aren't usually owned by kids that drive the snot out of them, not to mention the 7M is turbocharged and people neglect the cooling system. Or how about it having to move a fat pig of a car?
