It's running on some stand alone system? Seriously sounds like they're doing all the wrong things. The stock ECU will tell you what is wrong and won't risk fucking up your motor...

What scanners? Unless they have the very rare system, they're doing it wrong...

They make kits to polish windsheilds that you could use on any glass on the car. I've seen cars that have glass that is truely sandblasted from sandstorms in west Texas. If it's that bad, it's going t take a lot of work or replacement...
