    Leaking injector

Just trying to inject a little humor after being such a weenie earlier. I'm glad he was a good sport about it ;)

    Big Girl....

Damn Stretch, you a big boy. That must have advantages but it must be a real hassle at times too. You a big boy too lanky (lol, what kind of name is "lanky" for 6' 4/280 pounder?).....I'll bet that has it's advantages too ;) Global Threat: Yeah, they're milking that photo for all it's worth...

    tried to retorque my head

You're using a torque wrench to loosen fasteners? Don't do it, there are several things wrong with that starting with it's a precision tool and you can't measure breakaway torque using one. Oops...I see Stevo beat me to it.

    ok new problem help!!!!

Well, one would hope he didn't put 90W in an auto. And I guess this makes his leaky injector problem moot ;)

    Leaking injector

Fuel leaks of any kind are always bad news in one sense or another. If at the manifold it's not that big a deal other than possible hard starting. Just do as Piratetip says as soon as you can. It's still going to be an issue in how the car runs but you probably won't notice it and at least the...

    Leaking injector

I'm pretty sure the leaks won't care which state you're driving in. Leaking how? Externally or internally? Either will cause a loss of fuel system rest pressure and could result in hard starting. External leaks could result in an opportunity for breaking out the marshmellows. ;)

    High Idle

The odds are very slim it'll do one without the other so you need to make absolutely sure it's not stepping back a few seconds after engine shutdown. Have someone stand there and listen or open your hood and window and listen carefully.

    Overheat, now tapping!

Yeah, but he'd probably only get to overheat it once ;)

    High Idle

Hmmm...what is it with all these idle problems lately? First, do you hear the ISC step back just after you shut the engine down? Second, just because you have't found a vacuum leak doesn't mean there isn't one. Next time the idle is high with the engine warm pinch closed the ISC hose from the...

    Which tranny and LSD oil?

Check out Red Lines website for distributors and tech info. I'll bet there is someone near you who retails the stuff but you can get it many places online. Summit is as good a choice as any I suppose. I'd go with MTL but it's your call. You can use their gear oil in the rear end too, just be...

    Dumb question.....again!

My apologies to all. I'm only human. I'll make her pay for it later. BF, I know we've all been "there" but as one ages you get to be there more. One would think that gives a little immunity but sometimes it feels just the opposite is true ;)

    Which tranny and LSD oil?

I agree with Piratetip. That said, I run Red Line MTL in the tranny and when I had the LSD ran either Toyo fluid in the pumpkin or RL gear oil and added the FoMoCo modifier to taste. Other options are possible, such as MT-90 in the tranny. I'm not all that familar with RP products so you might...

Sorry RM, you're absolutely correct. I am having a bad day. A chick thing. They make me friggin crazy at times ;)

    I need some advice

Other than drilling it out the use of power tools usually makes things worse. Use an easy out or a 1/8 pipe extractor. Or a left handed drill bit. Or drill it and retapped. No matter what you do an old trick is to liberally coat the cutting surface of the tool with grease to prevent chips from...

    EGR and boost leak?

Sorry Piratetip, didn't mean to come across hard. Could be his EGR valve but it'd have to be an external leak at the gasket, pipe, or diaphram. Sounds like a small leak though, as anything bigger and the car would idle funny. Time to pressurize the intake tract me thinks. I'm lucky enough to...

    EGR and boost leak?

Huh? EGR is on the exhaust side? How about the other side of the EGR valve? Where does that go?

Damn....there's no hiding it but the least I can do it remove the original.

    Dumb question.....again!

Jeez mate, you're coming across as a bit helpless. It's a drive belt, aka, fan belt. Just go to a dealer or any parts store and tell them what you need, they'll do the rest. Or bring the old belt in with you. Do yourself a favor and order a service manuual while you're at it. The Toyo parts list...

    question .. who can help?

I'd jump in but since this thread is rapidly going down the toilet in many ways I think I'll pass ;)

    Dumb question.....again!

That sounds like a question a drunk would ask ;) Yeah, it's called a drive belt depending on which one you mean. No, it's not a serpetine belt. Get 'em anywhere. I use geunine Toyo myself because not all belts are created equal but that's just me. Oh, and check the idler bearing when you have...
