The Dragon will be in attendence!!!!
Who is going to the Dyno? I am thinking of waking up early and heading up there to get in line? any other MKIII's? I don't want to be the only MKIII in a sea of IV's.
I agree with you... but have you watched that video of malloynx making 550 horsepower or what ever it was? In there, he starts a run and abandons it, and some text comes up saying somethign to the effect of "Shutting down, WB went to 18" or something like that. There is a case of saving the...
This is a very valid paranoia.... it will serve you well. I too am always aware in the back of my mind that things can head south in a heartbeat and am constantly looking for it. Doesn't detract from my enjoyment (ok well who wouldn't want to beat on a car and not care about what happened...
I'll agree that if something went shit stupid wrong, and went wicked lean during a 120mph hard pull in 4th, yes you could easily do some damage to your engine by the time you see you high-pegged your WB display, no gauge is going to do anything about that.... BUT, if you noticed you went real...
NO, and again the O2 is only there for cruising emissions, the signal is ignored as has been stated in the thread a few times when running WOT, decel, etc.. you can't use the stock O2 for JACK!
I don't know if I would call it "efficient" monitoring, just monitoring period.
If you dont' want to buy a WB, but you will be doing fuel mods, rather than the a/f meter you have, I think you would be better off trying to find someone selling what was called a montigny (after Jeff Montigny...
A wide band is a LINEAR 02 reading and display of (hopefully:icon_bigg )corresponding a/f ratio(~9.0-18.0, and all points in between), so you find out exactly what is going on. Think of the stock 02 like a computer , which only knows 0 and 1. Thats what it does, if it senses a lot of 02 it...
Anyone?? I just looked at the mock up in the "please make a DP for ebay manifold" threafd and saw that external WG and it looks retarded big, as they all seem to be, just wondering why they are all so damn big?
Pulled my shifter this afternoon to change pivot bushing and shifter gasket with new ones picked up from Jeff Watson...
So I pull the thing and there it is, the shifter gasket/ring in 1,000,000 little pieces (it was a "green truck" one).... with a bunch of little shit particles falling down...
About to hit purchase on about $100 worth of high temp silicone vac hose and IC couplers.
the 3.5mm hose is $1.25 a foot, while the 4mm hose is $1.00, so I was thinking of doing all the main vac line in the 4mm. Is this big enough to perhaps not stay on, or should I have nothing to worry...
If anyone wants an indepth look at how the ignition system works on our cars, here is a good write up. And at the end it goes thru how to check initial timing.

I called my state farm agent yesterday about this, confirmed everything said here, especially the only driving it to car shows part. Said an adjuster would "investigate" the circumstances of your driving at the time of an accident and if you were found to not specifically coming from or going...
