You are right about one thing...you don't know much about motor oils. That would require research ;)
Mobil 1 will not slow a leak down...not even a little.
Hmmm...Mobil 1 is a Grp III base stock. It's not even a true syn oil ;)
An ester base stock (Grp V) like Red Line *may* help swell the seals a bit, but by the time a leak has developed, it's usually too late. Plus PAO (Grp IV) and ester based oils do a very good job of cleaning out...
That is correct...you want the catch can plumbed in the line between the PCV ports and the accordion hose connection. The primary vac is supplied by the TB 90% of the time...under boost, a weak vac source is supplied by the intake to the turbo. You do not want a filter on the catch...

LOL...ain't it the truth ;)
Aircraft will cure ya of ever touching fluids of any kind. One I was associated with used LOX (liquid oxygen) for the O2 system and would drip when freshly filled...touching LOX will ruin your whole day. Another used hydrazine as the fuel for an EPU (emergency...
I'm thinking I want this range officer's job ;)

BTW - Win SXT is a Black Talon minus the coating...excellent ammo.
Nope...they use the same method...super thick base. The result is the same.
Gonna have to use the "old fashion" method...replace the seal or gasket material ;)
A couple hoses you kinda "have to" buy at Toyota...the small 90 deg ones that connect this hard line to the top of the head and to the water neck in the front come to mind. That is unless you can find a generic hose the right diameter w/ a 90 deg bend. ;)
That is the heater return for RH drive cars...it's not used on USDM cars. Normally, it has a rubber plug/cap clamped on it...MIG welding is a more "permanent" solution ;)
