    BC valve springs

Just looked it up in the Ferrea catalog...they list at 67 lbs for the 7M. The 2J has several springs available: Std dual - 65 lbs Special alloy dual - 87 lbs High pressure PAC alloy - 115 lbs

    BC valve springs

NP Ant...glad to hear the comp springs are working well for ya. My gut feeling was that they could handle any float issues at higher rpm, but I can't prove it. You just confirmed what I was thinking...I hate to tell someone that this or that will work and not "really know" ;)

    northwestsupra's 500hp build

There is no PCV valve on a 7M engine ;) Here's how it works: - The hot oil in the crankcase burns off byproducts of combustion...water is the biggie. Pressure is also produced - This (and oil vapor) goes out the cam cover nipples to one of two places: Most of the time the vacuum created...

    NA vs Turbo Oil Pump

The RX-7 cooler has a built-in T-stat....advance search "RX-7 cooler" with "Adjuster" for the user name. He has one ;)

do you really need a power steering cooler?

The #1 killers of hydraulic pumps (like the PS pump) are heat and debris. Cooler wise, a tube & fin cooler is fine...heck, you can use your old 7M oil cooler (flush it out) and it work great. The PS system does not generate that much heat...the rail type coolers would work even better. You...

    NA vs Turbo Oil Pump

Nope...basically an Ansin pump, just like stock from Toyota. "Tighter tolerances" is not going to significantly affect flow...that requires different gearing. Save your cash and get a turbo pump from Jay Marks Toyota for ~$180.

    NA vs Turbo Oil Pump

The turbo pump will fit fine, it's actually an upgrade for a NA motor IMO. You don't want to run a turbo w/out a turbo oil pump due to the need for a cooling circuit and the oil requirements of the turbo itself. There are no "high flow" oil pumps available that I'm aware of...the turbo pump...

    Rebuild Now running like POOP

Ok...seem to be missing the point. It's NOT GOING to run right with those codes. Edit: JJ - Much better answer ;)

    northwestsupra's 500hp build

Whole idea of a catch can is to condense oil vapor...not going to work too well sitting next to the hottest part in the engine bay. Heat shield or not. It's also going to need the vac line from the TB to pull vapor into the can.

The location of the catch can needs to be in a cooler place ;) Looks good!

    BC valve springs

What cams...264? They should...the Comp springs should as well so long as you keep the stock rpm redline.

questions of turbos and oil accy

If it's the ebay turbo I'm thinking about, you really don't want it...it's cheap for a reason.

questions of turbos and oil accy

The RX7 cooler is much larger than our stock cooler and does have an internal T-stat. The problem with it is findind a place to mount it. Search for that cooler for posts Adjuster made...he has one. A .60 AR is a bit small IMO.

    BC valve springs

Here's the spring seat pressures for the various ones available: Stock - 35 lbs Comp Cams - 55 lbs BC - 60 lbs Ferrea - 67 lbs (dual spring) Becomes a factor with more agressive cams and/or higher rpm (8K +) levels. The Comp springs are the best bang for the buck if you're running stock...

    BC valve springs

I wouldn't say the Comp Cam springs are better, but they are an excellent, less expensive alternative. And I also wouldn't say the BC cams "look like shit"...I have a set. The oil feed groove on one cam (intake iirc) is a bit wider than stock, but it should not be an issue.
