That's your choice ;) If you want to be 100% sure your seals don't leak from using a syn oil per my last post...what would be the obvious answer?

    regular or Synthetic oil?

Guys, there's a whole section on oil...I run it ;) (search is your friend) Mobil 1 is a Grp III oil...not a true synthetic. If you're going to run a Grp III, Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 is a much better choice. Castrol European Formula (aka German Castrol) 0W-30, Redline 5W-30, or Royal...

Best way to tighten crank pulley bolt

If the oil pan is off, use a 2x4 to block the crank...the spec is 195 ft/lbs. And yes, it is necessary...borrow a torque wrench that goes to 250 ft/lbs.

    Where does this hose lead?

This page shows it...it leads to the hardline going across the lower timing belt cover. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/TechTips/vacuum_hose.aspx

I hear what you're saying Clueless, but the Colt is not going to do what I want for what I want to pay ;) Plus, I'm not looking at the large frame 1911 for the precise reason of ease of concealment. The biggest reason I'm looking at 1911 based weapons is it's unquestioned reliability and the...

    interchangeable parts 88 - 89+

I looked in the Chassis Section of the TSRM on PPS...the diagram shows a computer controlling a solenoid on the rack based on the speed sensor in the instrument cluster speedo. That means a different rack, harness for the solenoid, and dash wiring harness connections. Plus you'll need the...

    My car will randomly die.

^^^ Yep! I have seen codes 12 & 13 associated with this problem though. Also a code 14, but never quite figured out why that one would show since it's associated with the igniter.

I looked at Colt's...damn expensive for the name, plus what it would take (gunsmith wise) to achieve the Kimber or Sig specs. This is going to be a pure carry gun...I want accuracy, reliability, and low profile in a 1911 frame. Not that Colt can't achieve those, it's a more "bang for the buck"...

how can i tell if my ct26 is spinning backwards

He could always check which way the propeller is spinning on top of his head. Maybe that would be a good indication of the problem. ;)

I like to get some of you guy's opinions on the 1911 based pistols...I have limited experience with them and am look for a carry weapon that's easier to conceal than my Glock 20 10mm (it's damn big). I'm interested in the 1911 due to it's profile...it's fairly flat and I'd like to stick with...
