    FML, as they say

Sorry to see that man, what is it with parked Supras getting hit? My 88 got tagged twice in the same month (second time right after the first one was repaired, hit the same area too...), and my 89 decided to keep a display shed in Homo Depot's parking lot from killing an old lady (stupid Wyoming...

    advice

Either way it's a money pit eventually, but my money would be on the 91 if it's a clean shell. :)

    Speedo, gearing question

Err... disregard what I said. It was rather early in the morning. What car did your W58 come out of? If it were from a Mk2 it could have been from a car with a 4.10 ratio as well...

lost the gasket to the turbo

Mine fits up to my test pipe, but the angling of the flange on the rear of the down pipe is a bit off, so it makes it a rather tight fit. Oddly enough I think I might have gotten your couple inches that you're missing, mine stretches the catback rearward a bit further than I realized, the rubber...

    JDM engine?

Cool cool... funny how Supra guys congregate to the dealerships. Two of the ~5 of us with Supras (that I know of anyway) around here both worked at the Honda-Toyota shop here in RS. If you guys are ever gonna be westbound lemme know. :)

    Speedo, gearing question

Manual and auto trans have different gears in the transmissions I believe. DM has an option for buying either manual or automatic speedometer cables: http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-spedometercableformk3supra.php

    bye bye supra :(

Sorry to hear that man, I sold my 88 n/a for 2x what I paid for it a few years back, and I'm still kicking myself. Still keep the key around though, just in case I find her again. :p Just gotta make the best of it man, no matter how hard that may be to do.

ever had an head bolt round up on you?

I'm gonna come off sounding like a dick here, but I learned my lesson the hard way by almost rounding off the diff drain bolt on a Miata once. Use the right tool. ;) Seriously if it's a 12 point bolt, use a 12 point socket. If it's a 6 point bolt, use a 6 point socket. This will prevent a LOT...

    Preperation for a long trip

Hey, you never know, and I like to be prepared just in case. Have yet to have to add brake fluid to the brake cylinder, but my clutch has lost a bit of fluid somewhere along the line once in a great while. Used to be more common in my Mk2 for some reason, so I've made a habit of keeping it with...

    Shifter vibrations?

Just pulled out pretty much all the interior but the carpet (including dash) to do some maintenance (targa seals, fix a heater leak, speedo replacement, among other things) and after putting it all back together, the shifter has a slight vibration to it when I'm sitting with the engine running...

lost the gasket to the turbo

The ebay y-pipe is a nice concept, but with construction befitting the price. You'll have a few headaches here and there (like the exhaust, mine just became a pain in the ass bolt back on), but it's worth it in the end. Steel was a bit thin on mine so we used header wrap to try and contain the...

    JDM engine?

HAHAHAHAHA... local junkyards with Supras in them? Good luck there, I could probably count the number of Supras in Wyoming on my digits, and don't think I'd need to take off my shoes to do it. :p Sorry, meant no offense, we just don't have many around here. And what the shit, I didn't know...

    Preperation for a long trip

Heh, in daily driving, I keep my tools, and spare oil/coolant/brake fluid for potential top offs when getting gas. For a road trip though, I'm usually halfway prepared to swap an engine out. :p However, my roadtrips are usually 8 hour one way minimum, so... as the old saying goes, "your mileage...

    The Supra Picture Game

Do the Supras have to be YOUR Supra? I believe the desert pic is one of Zerocool's (Clint), IIRC that was his 88 1j... Just clarifying, I rather like the pic. :) Oh, and there's another thread like this up in the Photography section on here btw. ;)

    Quickest an R154 has gone??

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?116986-5spd-7m-10.67-132-! This should answer your question. Us AZ guys call Tyler a lot of names, my favorite being "Caveman" due to the way he shifts though. To say the least he's rare in the Supra world, he can actually drive his car fast for...
