No prob. Did you end up adjusting the BOV and tuning out the surge issues? I'm glad you guys had fun. I wish I could have gone. Maybe next time. Any vids? Post 'em up guys.
Hey, it's possible. That's what happened to my Accord one day. It overheated that bad.
Or is that a comment on his part for continuing running when his ankle was broken with bone sticking out of the side?
One thing I've learned is if your car (any car) if breaking down shut it down immediately and pull over. If you don't have money for a tow truck then contact a friend with a truck and tow rope. Do Not continue driving. That $200 HG job can quickly turn into a $2000 engine rebuild.
Oh...
The real lesson is don't go racing with a new combo untuned. You run a risk of someone recording&posting you get your ass handed to you by a stock Neon.
Update... I cannot make it. I'll be at work. For some odd reason I thought this was going to be an evening cruise. That's why I was so concerned about how late we were going to stay out. What was I thinking? Well, you guys have fun and post some pics and vids.
I'm looking for one place that has what I need. I don't want to buy these parts from different Vendors and pay extra shipping from the difference places. Does anybody know of a place that sells all this stuff. I'm just looking for mild steel exhaust pieces nothing exotic.
I need:
2 O2...
The wires with clips are sitting on your creeper.
Are you going to be home around 10ish in the morning tomorrow. I need to pick up that muffler and take it up the street to see about fixing it.
BTW, I'm off this Thursday. If you need some help flipping that clutch disc I can lend you a...
I have all six you can have. My upgraded wires don't need them.
I'm getting off work tomorrow at North Star Mall. I can drop by with them if you like. If you're not there I can toss them in your car port area.
I have a full set of them. They're all angled differently, so you'll have to tell me which ones you need. Or I can just bring the whole set i guess.
You ain't got to go no where. I got you! I got you.
You may be too young for the meaning of that pic.
I was thinking flatter side to the FW, but I wasn't 100% sure.
gaboon: would a disc intalled backward cause it not to engage into any gear? I know on other cars it's happened, but not sure about ours.
I'm not really sure which side it's supposed to be installed. I sure don't want to misinform you. I really can't tell by the pic in this link either. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=CL&P=11 I read further it doesn't tell you which side of the clutch is supposed to...
Is it possible that the clutch disc is on backwards? I recall one of my friends did that on his MR2 and it wouldn't engage into any gear. I don't know if that possible on our cars.
Hey David, I was referred to a place that supposedly can repack that HKS muffler, and put a new metal casing on it. I'm going to check it out tomorrow and see what the guy charges. It's one of those cheapie tire&muffler shops on the west side. If it's reasonable I'll get that done.
