Welcome back. That was one hell of an ordeal you went through. I can't believe he ran and hid in the breakroom. He just knew you weren't going to make it.... or at least he thought.
This is your second lease on life, and it looks like you have ALOT of it left.
"And he said someday I...
The only ebc I've ever own was an HKS EVC III, and I vaguely remember how to re-calibrate that one. Which one do you have? Post it up in the Tech section. I'm sure you'll fine somebody with the same model you have, and they'll be able to walk you through it.
If the car is registered under someone else's name is there anything that can be done about it? You'd be going after the original owner, and all he has to say is "I didn't authorize any repairs."
That's what I was thinking. Jealousy seems like the motive here. Probably someone in who lives in your area. Are you sure you didn't have a minor road rage episode several months ago. Someone could have wrote down your license plate number, waited patiently for months, looked you up, and...
That looks very clean. Did you lube up the journals? I'd lube everything that makes contact with each other in there.

You can get a tube/jar of cam and lifter assembly lube. Cheap insurance.
What's the difference between that 1.1a/r turbine, and the newer garrett GT turbos that have over 1.+ turbines? When they came out with the GT's everybody was all over them even though they had very large turbines too. Either way I wouldn't run something that big.
I was actually refering to these guys. http://www.hendersonperformance.com/
People say ask for and deal with Corey. They're in New Braunfels.
Seems as though they deal with alot of Vettes, but they do have a dyno. Not sure if they know how to work with 1J's. Call Corey and ask.
S.A. you should check the head for straightness before you slap back on. Is that the 7m on that red MKIII you recently bought?
Where do you plan on dyno tuning? When? I'd like to be there if possible. Isn't there a performance shop in your area that's known for being tuning guru's?
Good job on the install. That black/white Supra with that wing... that guy used to take classes with me at school. Haven't seen that car in over two years though. I've seen it around Five Palms & Pearsal area.
I ran a felpro HG with an upgraded ct26 running over 16psi for over three years. Stock toyota head bolts torqued to 72lb/ft. Eventually my #1 cylinder detonated and the ring lands shattered. But HG didn't fail. That's just my experience with felpro. I'm going to use another one on my next...
Save your money on any upgraded head work and spend it on a better turbo & fuel upgrades. That's if you haven't already done so. I wouldn't do any more than just a vavle job and mill it straight.
So why not title this thread "Dear disrespectful Men" instead. I'm far from racist.
Sure it's disrespectful to stare, but is it illegal? What can you do about it? Confront the situation? Call the police and say there's a group of men staring at my woman with ill intent? Flash a gun at...
Then why couldn't this thread be about men in groups in general who stare at your woman. Not just one race. You get any group of men together and they will act the same way. I don't care how many disclaimers were posted, this thread is about a certain race and is offensive.
This thread was directed at Hispanic men. So to me it is race related.
I'm not cool with strangers objectifiying my wife, but is it illegal to stare.
No, I don't know "makes a woman feel as though her livelihood/body are in danger of violation by men." But that's not what this thread is...
So Mexican men have backed you into a corner and groped you? Followed you down a dark alley? Or just stared at you? What exactly have they "tried".... attacked you? If they have done that then yes I see your point. But if they're just staring big deal.
