Why don't my rpms drop when i push in the clutch on my car? suggestions?

Well, you can't just cap it off while leaving it installed because that'll cause a high idle. Better to just remove the bleed valve...

Why don't my rpms drop when i push in the clutch on my car? suggestions?

Sorry, no. The dashpot isn't needed to prevent stalling. That's not it's purpose and as long as the ISC system is working the engine will recover to idle without the dashpot even installed.

What kind of oil do you guys use?1jz

Good oil. Bad for your catalyst though. I use whatever Group III is on sale. The irony of learning all there is to know about oil is you eventually learn that, with a few exceptions, for a DD it really doesn't matter what oil is used. Nearly everyone who makes the effort arrives at the same...

    my electrical journey

No offense guy but if you really understood this stuff you wouldn't be lost over something so simple. You'd also be using the schematic to resolve it. I won't even go into the "conductuity" thing. Just be careful...

    Fog Light Rewire Problem

As poorly as that mod is thought out a quick analysis shows it should work assuming you have a later model year car. Based on what you said you've likely done something wrong with the red/black wire from the relay. You're lucky in one sense though: the write up I've seen for the 87 and 88 is a...

What kind of oil do you guys use?1jz

There's actually a fairly simple answer and much of what you hear from others will be misinformed. Read the oil section for starters. And although most don't know or remember I first mentioned GC 0-30 on this forum I no longer use it. Times change...

Sigh. My intention all along was to impart an understanding of how it works so you could fix it yourself. It appears I've failed. Ah well, one last try: You said you got a 51 with the TPS unplugged, therefore the harness is fine. We're back to the same place: if in diag mode you get 51 with the...

So no 51 when you press on the pedal with the TPS plugged in? And now no 31?

Installing crank timing pulley woodruff key, oil seals, and pressing balancer on?

Lmao @ impact gun instead of a torque wrench. It never ends. The only time I do that is when using Torque Sticks. Even if they made a TS that went to 195 I still wouldn't use it for this application.

    alternator high voltage

I should point out due to the design of the regulator used an open in the external sense line will result in the same symptom: alternator output is automatically limited to between 13 and 17 volts. He should check that before replacing the alternator...

I can see the typical "water gets muddier, thread goes on tangents, gets derailed" thing about to happen here. While that flow chart can be useful it's for dummies. Step 2 for example. If the MIL comes on or the car runs you have +B. Since it ran before the wiring must be good. Therefore...
