    89 n/a 5 spd....Good deal ?

That back end in the first pic looks seriously fukkk-ed up. It's smashed about 4-5 inches forward, just above the bumper.

Ebay mufflers, are they that bad?

I have an Ebay special, 3" inlet. Had it on for 2+ years, no problems with it. However, I am planning on ditching it, and going with a Borla SS oval muffler, with dual outlet, and getting some nice tips for it. I will also add a midpoint resonator. Ultimately, I want it to look and sound as if...

    7mgte valve shims

I've bought from them, though their prices used to be much better than they are now. I recommend the following: http://www.cylinderheadsupply.com/index.html This'll save you 2 or 3 bucks for every 4 discs you buy, compared to Goodson.

    super monitor information

super monitor shows mpg average, trip time(stop watch), gallons used, miles remaining on tank(range), oil change interval. These are in addition to the normal time/ date stuff. The usefule thing about a supermonitor is that it'll show you the actual numerical fault codes, rather than having to...

Yes, I did- Mr. 'I drive an 80's car'. You gots a problem with traveling back in time? I hope not.

    Supra won't stay on.

A part of your wiring harness may be shorted, like on the engine somewhere. That would cause the fuse to blow. ps- check the codes, and post them.

Help with figuring out my Code?

Your catch can setup seems wrong. The only time you'd get any crankcase air to go to it would be during boost, and since it's vented to ATM, that means its a boost leak. The air filter should come off, and that end of the can should go to the accordian. PS- why don't you just test the AFM as...

    Lefty loosey...right?

Toyota put them on so tight, that Chuck Norris had to use three fingers to loosen his. YES. I just made this a Chuck Norris thread.

    Lefty loosey...right?

Yeah, generally it takes more than 160 ft-lbs to break it loose. ...then again...some people just check and find that the bolt is missing...

    Custom SC61 Setup.

I would guess it'll have good spool, and decent midrange power.

UPDATED!! new -89 RETRO-SPEC front lip with pictures.

It looks pretty good, but honestly, i'd like to see even a bit more 'character'. It's a bit too close to stock looking.

To Machine or Not to Machine....pics inside...

I vote machine down the front cover. If I'm not mistaken the cover can be slightly lower than the deck, but not vise versa, of course.

    Rattle noises from water pump?

Maybe the pump's bearings are bad. You can try replacing the pump with the one from the 7MGE to verify the source. ps- oops- thought you were saying you just did the swap. my bad.

    ARP Rod bolt nuts

I think you might have to go to ARP for individual replacements.

Had a scare today- pcv system was the culprit.

Well, maybe that is part of the problem, and I have to put a check valve in line with the hose going up to- but before, the throttle body junction.

Had a scare today- pcv system was the culprit.

I started backing out of my driveway today, and immediately noticed that I was passing through a cloud of blue-white smoke from my exhaust. :aigo: Now my car has never burned any oil, but the cloud didn't seem quite blue, and didn't seem quite white. I decided to go for a quick ride, thinking...

I've heard of oil drives shearing, and their gears breaking. Maybe something there?
