1jz idles real low after 20 minutes of driving

Where is your car idling at normally? And when it's idling low? Mine had a similar issue after warming up. My IAC is more or less shot I think, so it could be the same with yours. Seems a common problem with 1j's. I'll let others post up before I give my solution, it's kinda a hack of sorts, but...

    Tire Decision Help

How about moving elsewhere? Can't imagine driving a Supra where you live man, I was just in Brooklyn over the weekend... place is crazy. :p I currently have Continental DWS on my car (for winter), and they're not all that bad. Don't seem to follow road grooves much, but they do have really soft...

    7M NA to......?????

Ewww... iron block v8? No thanks... probably not much heavier than the 7m or JZ engines, but I rather enjoyed the LS1 I had. Why turbo it when you can literally BREATHE on an LS and make 400-500hp? Shit, cam, headers, and porting on an LS1 and you're looking at a rather healthy 400+. Initial...

    Your rage....you lose...

I want my 3 minutes back there Walt. Regardless of where you were going with posting this, if a girl was singing that or even *playing* that song, no matter how she looked, I'd be annoyed as all hell. Goes to show taste doesn't matter anymore, huh? :nono: Oh, and Mike, Chris Collins is a cock...

    Legality of GoPeds- Arizona

So why haven't you called Avondale PD yet? They don't bite, and I'm sure they could give you the A.R.S that pertains to motorized vehicles such as the one you're wanting to ride...

Allright guys this thread is going to be for all you who love to argue

Wow... going to work at a pizza place intoxicated. Does not sound like my idea of a good time, gotta say. Mike, that video was funny, I can't speak for all though. Reminds me of the bearded guy in the Skittles commercial a few years back, with the sentient beard... As for the Celica vs Integra...

best way to ship an engine?

Try having a hotshot deliver it if you think UPS is pricey. I've seen a freight bill for $4800 to take something from Houston to Minot. ;) But your best bet is an LTL freight company. I do a lot of work with Old Dominion, and we get awesome rates through them. Granted, we ship a LOT of pallets...

Police perception amongst the general public.

Well said with the Paul Harvey video man. Thoughts on red light running? I see it way too much for my own comfort here, if I'm first in line at a light, I'll usually wait a couple seconds before going it's that bad around here...

What kind of car would make you feel worst if you lost to it in a race?

Pretty much all of us at SILV 2010 lost to a LOT of Civics. Granted, I drove my car home in comfort and continue to drive it daily, but a 10 second buzz can Honda is still faster than most of us. :p Nothing wrong with losing to an LT1 car, but the rest of those... that's a little...

    said bye to it yesterday

99's have good heads on them. I just remember getting my car aligned to the specs one of the guys at FM gave me, and that completely changed the car for the better. Car looks nice man, I hated those seats though, until at least 2001 or so... Seriously, who puts nearly flat seats in a car that...

    1JZ-GTE swap difficulty???

Oh, and if you're sticking with stock twins, replace that crappy stock y-pipe BEFORE you put the engine in. ;) Aside from that, just change anything that's rubber on the engine before putting it in. Makes life much more enjoyable than trying to figure out what's leaking where after the fact.

    2jzge cam craziness

Reason you do it is for the same thing as the pattern of bolting down the head... you would damage a metal object that long if you just started at one end and strapped things down tight all in one swoop. Nobody likes (nor does metal) stress that isn't needed, right? ;)

    Tire Decision Help

They make a decent selection, but it seems that selection has shrank since when I owned them. I had 205/40/17's on the Miata. How about some 245/50/16? http://www.goodyeartires.com/tire/eagle-f1-gs-d3/

Whats the highest speed you have ever gone in the MKIII?(nws)

^That's impressive... and then the head gasket went on ya? :p Just kidding... I can imagine you're of a small handful in this world to take a Mk3 that high.

What kind of car would make you feel worst if you lost to it in a race?

Spinning ain't winning? One of the two cars that's beat me was spinning uphill, and still pulling on me. :nono: As for the Prius thing, trying to auto cross on tires that are designed with economy in mind is just plain foolish...

    Legality of GoPeds- Arizona

I believe in AZ it's like most places, as long as you're <49cc, you're good to go, just like a bicycle. Make sure you're wearing a helmet though, and despite the weather, I'd recommend some leathers, at least a jacket. Not fun, but it'll get you by for now.

    said bye to it yesterday

I can't argue with buying a Miata, have owned two of them. Specs? Oh, and flyinmiata.com is going to be your best friend, and your wallet's greatest enemy. ;) Seriously though, stick some GSD3 tires on them, get the alignment specs from the FM guys, and you're pretty much set.

How Bout Some life in Here ?

How about this, one of you guys gives me your Mk4 to take care of, and I'll start posting in this section more frequently? Seriously though, I'd love to have one someday, but until the Mk3 is finished, my priorities lie with that car. Nick, I could go either way with that lip. It looks good...

    Exhaust manifold

Thats not really all that unreasonable for an engine without a significant market share... *if* it's done right. And colpire, is that a Miata in your avatar picture? I thought I'd seen everything on a 4x4 chassis, apparently I was wrong...
