Boost creep over 14psi already?... is this normal for my setup?

I have a similar setup to you, with a 3" y-pipe, but stock IC and piping. Same problem, put an MBC on it the same way you did, and immediately boost went from ~12psi to 15-16, even on the lowest setting. I had to remove the boost controller when I got down to the lower Vegas elevation, as I was...

Running hot. Can not figure out why. 2J MKIII... 240* on the highway

I much prefer having the temp probe drilled into the water neck. If you know someone who can weld onto aluminum for ya, have them attach a bung to your water neck, and use a screw in style probe.

Looking for a Diamond plate floor mat retailer

Wouldn't it be easy enough to get a flat plate, trace out the factory floor mat, and perhaps add a bit of length to account for the upward bend toward the firewall?

    Autocross?

Give it a shot, worst that can happen is you kill a cone or two... seems like fun to me. :) However, that said, you wouldn't sword fight with a sledge hammer would you? ;)

    Newbie has a question

Welcome to the world of Supras. More than likely a rear main seal, or could also be a valve cover seal leaking down the back of the engine.

What kind of car would make you feel worst if you lost to it in a race?

Hey, don't feel too bad man, I lost to a straight up thug (hoon, I guess, would be the Aussie equivalent?) in a Cavalier who pulled up beside me and revved the shit out of his little 4 banger. Pretty sure it was bone stock. He took off on me, and I was left contemplating dropping it to second to...

Answer the question with a question thread, 2011 style!

Does your brain always come up with such crazy ideas? Wouldn't that mean that most ethnic groups would go extinct pretty quick? Also, which one of you guys stole my assless chaps this time?

How to beat speeding ticket in VA school zone?

I never understood the idea that they could speed to come after you. I mean, if I pass a stationary cop on the highway, going roughly the speed limit (or slightly above), how fast does THAT guy have to go to catch up to me? If it's safe for THEM to go that fast, why is it unsafe for ME? :nono:

Spartan living, or, "How to budget for a Supra project"

Roughly $100 for rent, as I currently live with my parents, and $125 for storage for a 12x20 unit. Mortgage payment is looking like it's gonna be about $850. A bit more, but everything is going to be much more accessible, and I'll have a lot more space. Win win if you ask me.

    I love wheels!

Gonna pass on that one then, that's a bit rich for my blood when Work, CCW, Rays, etc, can make a good looking set to spec for roughly half that.

Best of luck to anyone in Japan...

Where? The white thing? And Kai, that's ridiculous that people are posting all that. You're giving me even more reason not to get on FB. Apparently everybody posting that kinda forgot that they got their comeuppance for the attacks on Pearl Harbor, in a big way at that.

Running hot. Can not figure out why. 2J MKIII... 240* on the highway

This. If you have an aftermarket exhaust, you're probably not going to hear the fan much. I only notice mine if I get out of the car. I believe the "ok/middle" zone on the stock gauge is something like 175° F to 235°-ish. Not exactly what I'd call accurate. As for my setup, the e-fans I'm...

You're not the only one. ;) You know you're a Supra owner when there is absolutely NO mistaking your car in a parking lot, picture, noise, etc...

    Need suggestions. :)

I would suggest getting a different car for a daily unless you wanna be an 18 year old working 20 hours a week making ~$300 every two weeks with a broken Supra... ask me how many times I've seen that happen around here. ;)

    $49k Supra!

Any time you have a piece of rubber that's not lubricated for that long, you're bound to have dried up and cracked rubber all over. The car would need plenty of work just to get going 'right'. Makes me wonder how much that would cost, if you could even get all the seals needed...

    ***SM Member Horsepower List***

Thanks for adding me Grim, makes me wonder what I could get out of the stock twins with another 4-5psi... Trying to see if I can get in on the local dyno up at the college. Not sure if they're open for public use though.

    I love wheels!

Well said man. What do HRE's run for these days? A few years ago, I never even would have considered it viable to even think about them, but I've always liked their styles.
