1. 3-pc 92 spoiler is not worth $500 unless it came from the dealer
2. Upgraded CT26 turbo- $1800? LOL. Try $500
3. Ported and polished headS? It has one head.
4. MHG can't cost $350 unless its an HKS stopper gasket
5. Tockico shocks. $1000?!? Try $500 if they're Illumina's, half that for the...
He's not on a stock CT- he said he's on a 57 trim.
And I can't believe you only hit 222hp on 11psi, Hatchet.
I made 260whp on a stock ct with only 8psi. Maybe your afr's were even richer than reported.
Maybe someone else can chime in, but how often do these things actually go bad?
I imagine it's the wiring that ends up being the culprit 99 times out of 100.
No, we wouldn't say 'forgive and forget' about a supposed professional screwing up your block, especially when you TOLD him what to do and he had the tools for it.
You should definitely call him on it!
Buy a 5ft straight section, and one of those multiple bend mandrel pipes.
They have a 180 and a 45 built into it. If you buy aluminized pipe, it's pretty cheap. That way you can cut the angles you need...
Miata's main problem is that it has very little room, for an everyday car.
That's why i'd suggest a 240 in its place. Lots of room, not over-powered,
and the right drivetrain setup.
Bought my 88 NA in 1996, paid $5100 for it, as I recall.
I remember that the black 89 I really wanted was goin for $9,000 at the time(!). Back then MkIII's cost alot more.
Drove the car for 9 months before I suffered my first BHG. Didn't belong to any forums back then, and redid the HG, using...
Well, the best advice I can give to Vexer is to involve your wife as much as she's willing, so she can see it's something you two can do together.
I KNOW that it's a long shot for most women, but honestly(and you can tell her this), a woman who works on a car is automatically TWICE as hot as one...
New brake hardware. Didn't even know there were supposed to be wear clips on the back:
Still waiting on one more box for the rear subframe; a little DIY project for the rear bushings.
PS- in that last pic, I got a bit carried away with wear clips, and accidentally put all 4 on one side.
I've...
Don't worry, people!
I haven't stalled out, was just out of town for 9 days.
Came home to a few boxes- two reman'd axles, and all new rear brake hardware.
Here's old and new axles. They gave me 333,000 miles, they've earned their retirement:
What he said.
Check your pulley's index mark vs. the keyway position to see if it is off.
If your car runs smoother with really advanced timing, this could be the issue.
However, if your ign. timing is ok, but it runs worse, that tells me that a cam may be off a tooth as well.
And here's a...
I would only suggest that you attack each section of the car individually and exclusively, rather than multiple areas at once.
I'm finally doing it this way- Suspension- interior- body- drivetrain. That way, I can focus all my money and effort at perfecting one section, rather
than spreading...
Lol.
23's ok then. I just wanted to make sure.
If your old lady's footin' the bills around the house, just be sure to make her breakfast in bed once a week,
and tell her that to you, the Supra is your metallic embodiment of her, and that's why you work so hard to
make it perfect. Better yet-...
