    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Got the oil pan powder-coated today, textured black. Feels rock hard, like stone guard.... ...and so does the oil pan...(sorry, couldn't help it.) Going to bring a few things to a metal refinisher shop tomorrow, to be re-zinc'd, like the coolant and vac pipes, alternator adjuster, crank...

Anybody know who makes this wide body kit?

Welcome to the forums on your first post. This is the wrong section for such a thread, though. The mods will move it to the General MkIV discussion section, most likely.

Well, they're not getting fed. No, my local stealership. I asked how much a new oil galley plug was- $36.00!! Well, I hope that FIPG is better than most of the stuff I can buy at my local parts stores. Do you think I should reconsider?

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Threw on the NA filter union on, and slapped a few other bits on, including a test fit of the head gasket. Looks like only one rivet is a concern:

    Project Super Slow

Wow. THAT motor won't be used again. ever. I have read that the W58 tranny is fine up to 300hp. I used to have that setup with the gte(260hp), and it was quick. The car looks even better with the black and white photos- can't even tell that it's not one color. :)
