Over boost...it means you have hit fuel cut a one time or the other.
Pull the EFI fuse in the engine bay for a minute to clear it.
If it happens again (fuel cut is kinda violent), it could mean you have a boost leak in your IC piping.
US of course, I'm in Phoenix ;)
I'm already helping you in the other thread...getting rid of all codes (especially like the ones you have) helps a lot. No vac leaks, IC piping leaks, clean air filter, basic tune-up maintenance all have an effect. Having an EGR bumped mine up a couple MPG as...
My Supra gets 22-23 MPG city and 28+ highway...it's all in how you take care of the car (and if you keep your foot out of it).
Good luck with the Camaro ;)
Yep...the AIT sensor is in the AFM. Check the connector to the AFM is secure after you reset the codes.
BTW - both of these codes will cause the ECU to default to it's fail-safe function. It will use standard values for AIT (20 deg C) and STA/IDL (determines injector duration and timing...
Check the codes and note what they are. Then pull the EFI fuse for a minute (engine bay box) and drive the car for a day. Check the codes again. This will give you accurate info on the current stored codes.
Teal - in this case it would not matter. The OP has his own opinion about the EGR that fits his own reality of what it does. He demonstrated the same thing concerning the purpose of the idle adjustment screw on early model 7M TB's in his idle thread. He's looking for support for his position...
You mean the AFM?
Some codes do not illuminate the CEL and can have a pretty big impact on how well the car runs. You need to check for codes:

Code 34 is fairly common with a boost leak...not from the leak itself per say, but...
My plan is the same, running the AEM on the next motor as well ;)
Poodles is correct though, with the AEM you should have no problem running with no EGR. It will help with gas mileage regardless though. And, you'll help keep the air a bit cleaner too.
And how do you pass AZ emissions ;)
I'm in the Phoenix Air Quality district and could not get it to pass without the EGR...then I figured out I wanted it anyway.
Here's where you can get into trouble: Running uphill at 2700 RPM and you need to downshift for the grade. Soon as you do, the...
16-18 psi on an SP61...more than that and I hit fuel cut. I'm moving to a completely different set-up though...I feel the same way about dropping FP and this is still pig rich.
Jimmy - A couple things:
- Threads on NA motor specific questions belong in the 7m-GE Section
- You DO NOT create different threads in different sections asking the same thing.
I merged the threads and put in the correct section.
You get an infraction hit next time you do this.
