Taking care of the Valve Covers and there leaking issue's?

I seem to remember having to tighten up the valve covers once in a while on my 7m's... also, I believe you can get the items you speak of with Driftmotion, at least the replacement hex bolts for the valve cover screws that like to strip out on you.

Top Gear Episode Idea... Best EVER Japanese GT Cars from pre-2000

How is bridge porting cheating? Isn't it the same idea of porting a head on a piston engine? All you're doing is taking away material that Mazda put there, not adding anything... And a Lexus with a clutch? Blasphemy! That's like a Cadillac with a clutch... oh wait. Nevermind. :) As for...

Is there any build number info by year per color/interior combinations?

I also posted up a thread in OT on that subject whenever I came across that on Jalopnik too. ;) Was a joke sir. Both my post and the Testarossa, even if they are beautiful... What differentiates a 180° V-engine from a boxer engine then? If I'm mistaken, then please enlighten me. I'd hate to...

So, Mazda is killing the Rotary again...

Good engine that 1.8 BP that they used in these cars. They like boost, and are stout from the factory, much like the Toyota JZ. Had both of mine north of 10k rpm on accident... stupid super short shifters make 3-4 shifts into accidental 3-2 shifts a very real possibility.:arcadefre

    weekly car debate thread.

I agree on the stance on the stock P-type. Every time I pass mine on the way out of the garage I can't help but smile. Pretty sure the struts are all blown, so it sits nice and low, looks mean. :) If we're talking the interior, I'd have to say the Mk4 would win that one for me. I've always...

So how many mk3's have you junked/scrapped?

I've helped in parting out one (yanked the very blown engine out with a Chevy Yukon haha!), but I've never junked one myself. If nothing else, I give, rather than destroy. I'd feel better giving a car to a friend or as a freebie for someone else to play with rather than destroy a car that has...

    Drunken Craigslist trolling find...

Wow, this guy is on something... trying to sell that for $6500 with nearly 200k on the clock and it isn't in mint cosmetic shape? As for the Corvette thing, he only wastes them because the geezers that drive Vettes don't realize that he wants to run them. :p

    drift questions please help!

Haha, this is true... everything has it's purpose though. I'd rather drive from here to Florida and back in my car than drive to Denver and back in an S-car... But for drifting, I'd argue that you gotta pick a more suited car for the task you're wanting to accomplish. Not saying Mk3's are...

SBC/LS1 with R154, anyone done it?

All an LS6 (to my memory) is a cammed and head swapped LS1, no? You can easily get an LS1 to play nice with head work and cams. Hell, 400rwhp isn't at all a stretch with the mentioned mods. Used to run my stock LS1 up to ~6200 (whatever rev limit the car had to spoil the fun) all the time, no...

    Oil pan sump!

Custom line inside? Hondabond is what holds my motor together. IJ has posted a pic of the stuff in it's generic name in the oil/lubrication section. I can't remember the exact name of the stuff though... As always, I'll recommend that you change anything rubber now, that you don't want to...

Top Gear Episode Idea... Best EVER Japanese GT Cars from pre-2000

True, but warranties are for people without tools. If you had that kind of money, you probably aren't worried too terribly much about things breaking anyway, right? ;) Recently read something about a tab of some sort on the last Skyline platform, it had a little yellow tab that could be...

    Weapon R Cold Air Intake

Looks nice, but I'd be afraid to drive the thing when it gets wet outside. I'd make sure all my under body panels were in place for sure!

See! You CAN have fun in an N/A!

I'd say you're doing it right sir, for doing that without boost. Where abouts are you on elevation? I'm surprised an NA could do that...

A supra with a hint of style..

I'm with the couple guys above me. Looks cool, but useless at the same time. Nothing like having a 1" wide contact patch and broken bumper covers because you drive in the real world... Now if it were a bagged car and this was just how he parked, definitely cool. Driving like that though?

    drift questions please help!

All depends on what car you're using. There was a guy who machined tie rod spacers for the Mk3 though, helped with steering angle a bit. If you're just starting out with this sort of thing though, might I recommend an easier to maintain, possibly cheaper car to use? I believe it was IJ who...

    weekly car debate thread.

Alrighty, new week, new cars. Let's make this an interesting one shall we? Favorite SUPRA. Personally, I have to say the Mk2 for the looks, the Mk3 for the driving experience. That being said, never *driven* a Mk4, but along with a friend, owned a Mk1, and had a 2nd gen Celica (same thing as...

SBC/LS1 with R154, anyone done it?

There was also a guy on here by the name of Syst that did an LS6 into his Mk3, was a nice build while it lasted. I believe he may have used the T56 though. Good driving transmission, it's a shame they don't hold up all that well...

    Weapon R Cold Air Intake

Oh, no kidding? I thought it was just another fancy filter or Vatozone special brand. Seems I've been a bit rude then, my apologies. So stick the Apexi filter on it, get it to fit, and call it a day? :)

Is there any build number info by year per color/interior combinations?

Ferarri knows a thing or two about using boxer engines... My biggest worry about the new Toyota sports car is the build quality of them in recent years. Ever since they started building them here in the states, the things just don't seem to hold up as well. I've seen Toyotas that are 06+ that...
