Have you checked the inside (back) of the wheels? Sometimes there are stickers on them that say brand, size, offset etc... although those are often taken off when they're used.

A situation like mine would be why. PWR radiator and JZ engine leaves very little space for fans. Would be nice to be able to use a clutch fan, and this would enable that, but like Grim said... Custom generally = $$$$$, especially if it's specialty fabrication in question.

Hah, good luck killing a Miata... short of doing it on purpose, they're tough engines. Keep your fluids in check (extra quart of oil doesn't hurt for abusing an engine on track, unless they're an engine of the "do not overfill" variety), and you'll have a car you can beat the piss out of all day...

Actually, kinda sounds like the story of my Mk2... long story short, it's easiest to start at the cheap end of the spectrum, and replace things in order of cost. Worst case scenario, as was the case with my car, you end up with an entirely new cooling system. :)
