Code 42... does the speedo cable send signal to the ECU? i doubt it? Waiting for someone to chime in.
Don't yank anything with brute force... & like S.A. Supra said. Take all the screws out. MAKE sure ALL of them are out or else you'll obviously break something.

the 5MGE was original, never opened & when the time came to take off the oil pan off, not even crow bars would help.. all the oil pan bolts were off.. It was a complete pain in the ass.. Thats what Penzoil oil does..
I'm in the process of the rewire & i have this question but none of the KS threads have the answer.. Probably a stupid question.
Ok in the the write up it says to SPLICE the coax cable conductor into the ks wire 5-6 inches away from the ECU.. Wouldn't it be better if i just cut the KS wire...
why not do it already? It's too easy...
I Keep them down during day, & when dark starts coming the fogs go on & once it gets dark enough the headlights go up. & I've learned to appreciate the high beams.
you can pay a machine shop to recondition your pistons & connecting rods along with the crank shaft so you get all the correct size bearings you'll need.
