My updated guess was pretty close, it's clear the original scale I used a few years ago was accurate.
The removal of the passenger seat is the only "at the track" weight reduction from my previous post that was done for this weigh in.
This is with ALL body panels AND a full cage. Running engine...
My point exactly, and there is plenty of dyno proof to show it. I know the engine is not making more hp, but due to the way whp is measured it will show an increase. Even if you are strictly talking about more hp at an earlier RPM. That is still an increase, it's not limited to peak numbers...
Wheel size and tire compound are 2 completely different things.
"Bigger" wheels is relative.. what size are you talking about? Drag radials come in many different sizes. You can get drag radials that are smaller than the original mk3 wheel setup.
Match the tire to what you are going to...
I will start by saying everyone has their own opinion, and everybody wants different things from their car.
In response to some of the posts in this thread:
If you JUST increase the engine's power, yes in a straight line you will accomplish the same acceleration as a car with a...

Any input from the people that removed power steering or those that know the proper way to remove it? I want to be sure I'm removing it correctly and not forgetting anything.
EDIT: Used Duralast Idler Pulley 231051 Dayco Item 634110 from Autozone
Im not going to change the rack, just need to remove power steering. Thank you for your input though.
Maybe this should be moved to General MKIII Discussion..
I recall being told I have to loop the lines going into and out of the rack to keep some fluid in the rack. If I remember correctly its the line coming off the banjo bolt. Is this correct? Am I missing anything else?
Remove power steering pump and loop to/from steering rack lines to keep some...
The only things I see that are wrapped are the master cylinders :icon_neut
I'm not trying to hate or anything, what matters is that you like it.
Don't forget to get a fan shroud if you didn't already
I've seen one for a 1JZ with stock twins. It was made for a rhd chaser, so I don't think it would fit in a supra engine bay. It was coming from Australia IIRC.
I can't believe you can get away with that. I get followed too and my car is quiet and sounds stock. Anything even close to WOT will...
Bump, I really want to get this hooked up and I want to do it right..
I don't see that electonic vsv anywhere. I have a check valve too so I can hook it up that way.
Any and all help is appreciated
