You want a really simple way to fix that? Feed one of the injector signals back into the speed sensor input on the ECU.

I did the same thng with my single! You can see I wrapped the end in heat wrap because it was so close to the exhaust manifold. It stayed like that for about an hour, just long enough to drive to the shop to get some custom pipes welded.

It's very possible that the new pump drew too much current through the old electrical system, and fried something then.

How are you powering the 255?

best way would be to run a tube between the inlet and outlet on the pump, and fill it with fluid.
