    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Today, I took care of a few more little nagging issues. My Driftmotion intercooler made slight contact with the front center nose/ latch support, so I had to notch a bit of clearance into it. Also, the coolant overflow bottle interfered with the intercooler, so I decided to relocate it to the...

^This. I have to ask- In all this testing, and parts swapping, did you check the EFI fuse in the engine compartment?

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Thanks, Miekedmr. No, if I recall, i pressed it all out as one piece. Unlike other bushings with a steel sleeve, this one is hella thick, and would be hard to cut. I let PB blaster soak into it overnight first.

    Valve Cover Vent Tube Questions

What he said. Sounds like a huge amount of blowby. I assume that you get a decent amount of blue smoke from the exhaust. I would guess that piston rings would have to account for that much oil loss/ crankcase pressure.

    Charcoal canister/bvsv question

I've heard of people going with a smaller cannister. I think the 1JZ powered supra's had a smaller version.

    morganson's COP S-Type setup

So, i've been working a bit on this install, but I came to a speedbump- the throttle bracket assembly. The problem is, that the post suport of the bracket assembly needs to occupy nearly the exact same place as the #5 coil's mounting tab. I was having a hard time trying to figure out a way to...

    Car Not Starting

First, check that the battery terminals are very clean. If they are oxidized on the contact face, they will have a very small electrical contact area, and when you go to start, it will short under the high amperage. PS- Auto parts stores are sometimes sketchy about allowing the return of...

    Gettin' Low

I found that the Eibach's were very easy to live with in th real world. Hardly ever scraped going over speed bumps, etc. I think alot of people end up rubber their fender liners because they eventually lose a few of the fasteners here and there during maintainence. If they have all of their...

    Bouncy Speedometer Needle?

I know that the ecu gets a speed input, but it comes from the speedometer itself?

Andrew MKIII FULL All Mods and customade Front Face Inatke Manifod 7MGTE

I really like that your manifold allows the use of ac. That was always a dealbreaker for me. I assume that it requires a battery relocation though, yes?

Good to hear that you got things sorted out.

    Bouncy Speedometer Needle?

No. The engine/ ecu doesn't really care/ know what the speedo is doing.

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

So, a minor setback... After spending $120 to get my tires swapped over to the new wheels, I started messing with the rear camber a little bit, to tuck the wheels in. Specifically the left rear, as the right side looked to be cambered well enough already to fit the wheel. But even after that...
