The only "benefit" to swapping in a Mk4 diff over the stock one would be lower rear gearing, so depending on what you're trying to achieve, you might be over-thinking it. I wouldn't mind a slightly lower gear for highway cruising, but I don't do enough of it to really put any effort into it...

Try an additional ground for the head unit. We had to do something like this to my 88 that I had, got rid of the problem. My 89 currently does this "buzzing" you speak of, but I don't mind so much anymore, sounds like a supercharger. :p

I am not on there, but I only ran it the one time. B-spec bores me for the most part. I usually read while doing them, but it's decent money farming. :)

I think I know what you mean, just for fun I ran the 275 summer tires out back and something like 225 or 235 up front, car for some reason liked to oversteer a lot more. Never did really understand that, I would have thought it would understeer due to lack of front end grip...

I'm running 255's on a 17x8 on my car for the winter. I'd recommend going with a skinnier tire, it's just really not enough width on the wheel side of things, get too much sidewall flex. Could also be the tires I'm running, so check your tire manufacturer's recommendation. Might also look into...
