Ryan, a "supra stick" is a device used to hold up the hood once your struts kick the bucket. :)
Very nice looking car though, any shots of the interior?
Wonder why they would change the spring rates for the same line of suspension once it's designed. Were the old spring rates too soft for the weight of the Mk3?
You know, if it's already pointed at the valve cover, get some piping and run a top mount intercooler. Talk about fast response! You'd have less than a foot of piping between the turbo and throttle. :D
Learn throttle control. Learn it REALLY well. My experience in getting short wheel base cars sideways (80 Corolla, 00 Miata) is that you have fairly low tolerances for error. Learn to work your pedals well before anything, then start tuning the suspension and alignment. ;)
Just giving you a bit of hell man, I've had a couple cars that have had them. Two I can think of, but never bothered working on most of them, so... yeah.
RHD cars imported to Canada usually come by way of Japan, therefore no NA vin to speak of. ;)
Edit: Of course, if when a car is brought into Canada, it is GIVEN an alternate VIN number by Canadian authorities... that's a different story. Having never lived in Canada I can't say.
I've run Rotella 5w-40 synthetic in my car for about 2 years now, no complaints yet. Jdub approved is good enough for me. :p
Interestingly though, my oil pressure never goes beyond 85psi (cold startup). 120psi seems like it would be enough to pop a filter...
I used to do the same, once it started approaching the 15k mark, I looked at the list of "to do" stuff and stopped to prevent an early heart attack.
I think I may go through and do a "what this car cost to build" with the 87 widebody project, ignoring the money spent on 7m stuff, just a...
Ding ding ding, we have a winner! MR2 (SW20) used a CT26 in some years. Not sure about the Celica though, and I am completely unaware of a turbo Landcruiser...
No matter what you use, make sure to rinse/wipe it all away after it's done it's job. No sense in risking the paint if you don't intend to repaint it. ;)
This is something I'm almost afraid of with what I'm doing to the Mk3... I figure by the time I'm done with it, the limits will be well beyond the capacity of how my balls will let me drive. :p
I like how you have to specify... do you have one of each? :p
Always did like the idea of the EFDC setup, but never wanted to pay that much when I've already got something I can live with. Just seemed cool, like a TEMS setup that has better spring rates.
Man I'm jealous of some of you... I need to get digging on info from the city to see if I even *can* build a second garage in my back yard.
That old Chevy yours Jayhall?
You know, I kind of want to do this to my car, the wipers on our cars wipe a part of the window that I never look through (the top) but leaves the bottom half dirty still. The passenger side, oh so clear... I wish the blades were flipped.
