    best big brake kit?

Man, you guys are nuts... be careful out there. ;) I'd also vouch for the ARZ kits, they drive like stock... until you need to drop the anchor. :D

Hatch struts: what am I doing wrong?

IIRC, I did the body end first, hatch end second. Did them by myself too, but used a different brand. Still work great, even though the shaft got paint on it when the car was painted, so the seals aren't 100% anymore. Still holds the hatch up as long as it's not really cold out. Good luck! ;)...

Post a pic of your recent purchase

Looks like you bought the big tank... you'll have to let me know how it works out, I intend to go water/meth in the future as well. And ironically post such a small picture... :p Is that original series Star Trek?

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

Oh, and Rock Auto FTMFW! Turns out, there are a couple companies that make all sorts of reproduction parts and body gaskets for these old things... reasonably priced too, the only thing that I said, "well that's a bit rich" to was the re-chromed grille, at ~$420.00. Otherwise, I can get new...

1JZ Trying for 600hp on pump

I went with the 1j in my case because I found a nice motor with transmission for a good price. Never hurts to have an extra r154 around. ;) I knew either engine would make more power than I would ever need... and I'm considering a 2j for the Chevy, so... we'll see. Never actually driven a 2j...

Towing a MK3 accross the country??

I agree with TrqMnstr, they're good trucks for what they are. Known a couple people who have had them, and while they're certainly not a Benz or something like that, they do good at what you need them for. :)

You have to be kidding me

Honestly, it makes little sense for a business (at least here in the US) to hang onto inventory any longer than necessary. You get taxed on it, every year, just for having it. Not to drag this into a politics debate, but it's actually smarter in the long run to just sell these sorts of things...

    3270 lbs street car

100% agreed on the handling aspects of weight reduction. However, at my altitude, your comparo would highly favor the Supra, if only because turbo cars don't suffer altitude sickness to the same degree that naturally aspirated cars do. Anyway, to the OP, congrats, that's not a bad weight at...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Did you do all this with the engine IN the car, or were you smart enough to do the y-pipe when the engine is on a stand? If it's in there... I feel for you son. There are a few things I will never do again, a y-pipe swap on a 1j in the car? That's one of them. Congrats man! Might wanna use...

    2012 Nissan Skyline GTR R35 vs 700hp 7m Toyota Supra MK3

Cost to buy a 2012 GTR: $95000 Cost to built a 700hp 7m Mk3: $25000 Cost to see the look on the face of a guy who just got walked on in a 20 year old Toyota? Yeah... nice run. :)

    What Grinds Your Gears?

Well said. When people seem impatient, I like to wait an extra couple seconds, or wait just long enough to leave only yourself a gap to get into traffic. For extra good effect, pretend to stall the engine. :p Dude, you live in Wisconsin, what do you expect? I have a rule about Mexican food...

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

So, semi-serious question here... if this were your car, what would you use to power it, given the following criteria: -6500' altitude, with intentions to drive it in lower and higher elevations without the need to tune -300-400ish HP required, decent torque to suit -has to fit (obviously, so a...

    Its finally here! (Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86)

Or FWD V-engined cars... I'll admit, boxer engines aren't exactly easy to do some things on, but I'd rather replace the alternator on one of these or a WRX before I would ever volunteer to do so on a JZ.

1JZ Trying for 600hp on pump

No water meth, and only 93 octane? Hmm... run it a little rich and run a fairly decent sized turbo? If pressure (from boost) would cause detonation (not sure on this, just a thought), I would suggest running a larger turbo than you need, that way you don't have to run the piss out of a smaller...
