One Piece Driveshaft Angle? Weird Vibration problem.

IJ said it properly when he said "in phase". If your U-joints aren't in line with each other, things get wobbly. Lay on your back under the car, follow the driveline from one end to the other. the U-joints should look like this: o---o The circles representing the pins that hold everything...

    3270 lbs street car

You can always paint CF too, for what that's worth. If you're looking to do it on a budget though, a fiberglass hood is nearly as light for nearly 1/2 the cost. :)

Funny Ricer quote of the day!

Eh, don't count it out just because it looks silly. My 88 Supra and the one I have now really only look a little bit different. The biggest difference? About 250hp. Who's to say that Honda isn't rocking a turbo H22 setup with an exhaust cutout? ;)

    7MGE Exhaust removal

Careful when it does drop that it doesn't hit you in the face... that's never fun. ;) I had the same issue with the muffler on my 88, until the piping going into the back of the muffler finally just rotted away and dropped the muffler on the friend who was driving my car at the time.

    What Grinds Your Gears?

Well that all depends on the car you're driving. I bet I could have paralleled half of the cars I've owned into whatever space you're talking about...

What's The Dumbest Thing A Car Manufacture Has Done?

VR6's sound nice... and they're fairly compact, but I have no need of them. As for pushrods, they still work just fine. See: LS Chevy. ;)

Any other BMW owners here? Post Pics of your BMW...

I agree with Shaeff and Poodles, if your guy is wanting you to sell the cars, sell the guy. A good suitor for a gear head is either understanding of the hobby, or a gear head themselves. My old lady would never make me sell a car. Wouldn't even suggest it. We're actually looking into building...

    2jz-gte 1946 chevy truck

I hear you about pissing off the old timers... I'm all for it, but I'll paint "Chevrolet" on my valve covers if I do go 2j. ;) Sounds like your build is a lot more serious than what I had in mind... love to see it all come together.

    2JZGE-T temperature control issues

I have one... bought it new at Toyota for $90-110. Good investment. ;) That said, make the use of the air going into your car more efficient before you start worrying about the fan situation, IF your fan is already in good shape, leave it be. Like I said (might have been in another thread)...

    92' Turbo Supra Suggestions

Was just a joke Jostar. :p I've seen your car's thread, it's a nice one for sure.

    3270 lbs street car

I'd love to do something similar, or a Chromoly tube for the front one. May have to to make room for the radiator/fan combo by pushing things forward just a bit, as much as I hate to move weight further ahead of the axle... Fenders are about a 12 lb savings between the pair for CF fenders...

One Piece Driveshaft Angle? Weird Vibration problem.

I would recommend checking to make sure the u-joints are in series as they should be. If it's not that, then I'd think your shaft wasn't balanced very well...

    Turbo questions

Made bold for emphasis. Been there, done that, you'll be way better off just focusing your attention and learning how to be patient. See that "living with a Supra" link in my sig? Read that. ;)

cold Air intake vrs stock on NA?

It was mentioned that the Weapon R intake is a turbo intake, which would be more realistic. You're not likely to pick up more than a couple HP from an intake on an NA, they're fairly well designed from the factory...

    Supra on the Road Course

Closest track to me is MMP (Miller Motorsports Park), in Tooele, UT. About a 3 hour drive one way... they do have what they call "wide open Wednesdays" where you can run what you bring, as long as it passes tech. Trouble is, I work Wednesdays (always M-F), and it's like 8am until sunset. I would...

    2jz-gte 1946 chevy truck

That sounds like a pretty nice deal. I'm shooting for ~$3000 to put in the engine and trans on mine, want the entire car to be DONE for $10k total. :)

Bought a 91 MR2 for commuting and track

GT Academy times. They were pretty good, some of them left me scratching my head wondering where you came up with the extra time ahead of me haha... and you're right. Driving a car balls out is a different experience. Closest thing I can really relate to it is with the Miata, was a lot of fun...

    Question about 2jz bc 272's

Aww... face palm of the day? Should I feel special? :p Could always do it the old fashioned way, using putty (something else? I've never had to do it...) on top of the piston, although it's time consuming.

    2JZGE-T temperature control issues

Perfectly normal sir. Keep in mind, that cooling efficiency is more about the fan than the radiator itself. If your fan can't pull enough air, it doesn't matter how nice your radiator is. ;) Minor warning about Water Wetter though: using it WILL help you find ANY leak in your system. :p

Source for a Toyota 2L-T diesel engine in the USA?

I seem to recall Jarco had them on occasion, but I haven't had any reason to keep up with them in a long time. Shouldn't be terribly hard to find, they were in a LOT of Hilux and 4runner trucks...
