    front crank seal damage

They probably quoted you a new harmonic balancer for $500. You need the lower timing gear- it should be much cheaper. EDIT: dangit poodles, you beat me to it.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Hey, hey, hey! I got my radiator today, and it actually fits!!! In celebration, I took some pictures and started mocking up my intercooler for brackets! Comparison of the new and old I/C

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Beautiful, Sean. Next question- Will the AEM do a good enough job scaling the stock map to run 550's or 720's for initial break-in, or am I better off staying factory ems and then swap it over during the winter build-up? I'll be likely running an aem 3.5 bar map, gm ait, and that's as far...

Starter has power but car doesn't start

My dealer still sells them, usually $35 for the set (doesn't mean your local dealer will stock them, though). You'll need to bring them in to match them up, too.

    re-key lock cylinder

I don't see why not, I've re-keyed all kinds of lock cylinders from all positions on Toyota cars and trucks. I will say that door lock cyls tend to be tough, as corrosion usually gums/seizes up the inner workings and makes disassembly not so fun. Why the re-key?

    flywheel questions

+1 stock flywheel. Ninja edit: I would probably machine it.

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

Just go out to Ebay again and get a oil feed + drain kit. Doesn't have to be the best, but it'll be better than trying to re-use the stock lines. You will need an adapter to go from the block feed to -4an, though. oil line kit Something like that might do well, just get an adapter for the oil...

    ....

I'd replace a lot of the coolant hoses, too. That crap has a tendancy to weaken and swell the crap out of them, and then they blow at the worst moments...

I vote for both. I will lose both, but it's still a challenge.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

I think my car running right for the first time in a year would be pretty epic in and of itself. But yes, I think a race would be sweet regardless. By then, Rob's car should be up to your level, I would hope...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Yep, I'm kicking myself in the head for that. For some reason I thought Summit had them on backorder when I was checking them out. Oh well. It'll get done eventually, I just might not get to drive it this year. :(

90 supra replacing 91 supra, planning for water ic

Hey, we're dealing with the same problem! We even dealt with the same guy, Chris! I'm still waiting for my radiator to arrive, I hope it's better than the one I got. At least your upper supports were in the right spot! The lowers on mine didn't line up right, either. I would figure that augering...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

OK, so I got some parts in today, and I want to share my happiness with you all! -and a little frustration...- I got my AEM EMS, and I got a mint harness as a part of that deal. Got a bonus of RC injector clips being soldered onto it already. I also got a good O2 sensor, a knock sensor and a...

Ha ha, that's what you get from cheap tires. Nice for burnouts, though ;)

    -10AN to -6AN Y Splitter?

It is. I think you're supposed to use the distribution block (link #1) and then thread the adapter (link #2) into it.

    Marlin Crawler Orders

My bushings took 2 weeks to arrive, but my engine was out, so it didn't matter to me how long it took.

    metal piece in tail light

I had one of those fall out of my 91 tail light, iirc it was a reflector for the turn signal or the brake light. I'll go out and take a pic if I can get to it. EDIT: OK I am full of fail today, it is a reflector for the reverse light, and it mounts to the top of the lens housing in my 91...

OK, so you're in the lead, my valve springs tested weak, so I'm ordering some BBC springs. I do agree on taking all the time you need to measure and document the clearances, though. I'm going to design a spec sheet the lays it all out idiot-proof style.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Ah, but I have no radiator, and I need to put it together, and I need to wait for the new harness, and, and, and... I think it will be a good race- we both are missing large pieces of the puzzle.
