    Drain Train Vibration/noise

You managed 25k out of a clutch? :golfclap: I'm impressed... anyway, I may have missed it, but how is your center carrier bearing? I know those are prone to a short life once you start upping the power and abusing it.

How many years of operation can a mk3 Supra last ?

I know people with cars older than ANYONE on this forum that they use on a nearly daily basis. A car's life expectancy is only limited by its owner. :D Heck, I have a car older than most people on this forum, if not older than anyone. Doesn't run yet, but that is only because I want to finish...

    Coilover users and Racing Supras

I have these as well. Daily driving duty for 3 years now, on both smooth and rough roads. If I were going with a strictly track car, the springs could use a bit of extra stiffness, but for a street car, they're really not bad at all. IIRC, the spring rates are something like 14k front and 8k or...

Post a pic of your recent purchase

I understand why it's done, but really... how often are you going to be "using" 6th gear with an engine that revs that high? Even 5th on my setup doesn't begin until over 150mph...

    What Grinds Your Gears?

It's right up there with the people who DO own them, and are trying to sell them with those mythical "V6" engines... What grinds my gears? People who hang up on me. I'm professional, polite, and do a lot of business on the phone. If you don't know what it is exactly that you want, and you get...

Funny Ricer quote of the day!

Quick details? Was that still a VW aircooled engine? :aigo: Man, his parents must have hated him to name him that, poor guy. :nono: That is why I'm leaving this one alone. I know better than to bite on bait that obvious.

    Toyota scion fr-s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the former owner of a lot of underpowered, but lightweight cars, I will say this much: Numbers don't mean everything. Given the same stretch of road with a handful of turns in it, I am more than willing to bet that a decent driver (give me a few months in one of these) could give 90% of our...

    What Grinds Your Gears?

Happens to me ALL the time man. I just chalk it up to all those other cars being afraid to play with the Supra. ;)

Never understood that. Why not just give us a 6th gear that really isn't all that useful, and meant only for highway cruising? A .50 gear ratio for 6th would accomplish good MPG, and you could have 5 fun gears to use... You'll have to let me know how that works out for you man. :)

    This is no laughing matter

You're safe here. Perhaps we should make this an official joke thread? OP, good post. :)

    Toyota scion fr-s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, style (both interior and exterior) is the biggest difference in the two. Motortrend had a nice writeup about them recently. I wouldn't mind one, but we already have a couple threads about this car, and there are a couple other cars I'd have first: NSX MkIV Supra FD (?) All three of...

1JZ Trying for 600hp on pump

Dude, pop ups make anything cooler. Hence why the Corvette was the last official cool car ever built.

88' supra rolling shell, doesn't move!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, we can officially add "jelly beans" to the things choked on when reading this forum... combine those two posts together, and things get kinda funny!

    Rota wheels? Very interesting...

Well, given the width of the wheels/tires I plan to run, I'm trying to offset the weight gain by using a lighter material. I'll lose a bit of weight in the brake setup, but the wheels... I'm nearly doubling the width of the rear wheels, and about 80% larger on the fronts, as well as adding 90mm...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

You'll like them I imagine. I have a set of 275's all around, and frankly... I'm afraid of the limits of the car at this point. I know it has higher limits than I have the balls to explore on the street. Hit a patch of dirt or gravel or something at the limits of these tires and you're probably...

Funny Ricer quote of the day!

I would disagree, if only because of the Miata and the things you can do to them. I guess a Honda *could* be made to be a bit faster, but that extra 2/10th of a second quicker isn't worth driving a rattling can anywhere but the track. I see nothing wrong with having my ass handed to me by a 10...

    Another low miler for sale

Anyone notice that almost all the low-mileage cars have burgundy interior? I wonder if it's because nobody wants to drive them? :p

Post a pic of your recent purchase

Well, with the extra rpms, I would be looking to install more aggressive gears to balance it all out... that way the mid-range isn't a problem anymore. :)

What would your 1st hand gun be?

Suprarx7nut got it on the head. A gun has to suit you. If it doesn't, you might as well be carrying around firecrackers for all the more useful it might be...
