Just picked up an array of throwback sodas! I had tasted the Pepsi throwback from a bottle last sumer, but couldn't find it afterwards. Yay for Cub foods!
My cometic has 4 layers (2.0mm, 84mm)
Also, spraying copper spray on a brand new gasket is a bad idea. It's fine if you spray a undamaged, used, and cleaned MHG with a copper spray, but never new.
Hey Emilio- I would suggest finding a way to have the cat flanges be free-rotating like mine are. My hyper medallion needed a lot of tweeking/twisting to fit right and level. I'm not sure how its done, but it sure is handy to have.
After we got my engine running, I had the same problem, but a little worse- my *knockoff* SSQV didn't open at all! I pulled it apart and checked the check valve, and it was leaking quite badly in both directions. I tried to find a new check valve, but as of yet haven't been able to source one...
Love it. I had an 89 s/c myself. Your body is much cleaner, though.
Not that you have to listen to me, but I vote for a gze swap if you can find one, or open20v silvertop ITB's!
Don't think ECU, yet. It doesn't send voltage to the ignitor. I'm looking at the wiring diagram and what I see is that the voltage supply to the ignitor is the AM2 circuit (black-orange wire). This is one of the circuits that is controlled by the ignition switch, and it also supplies voltage to...
Yep, it's too low for me too, but it was just a temporary thing so I could drive the car. I plan to have a ffim and welded pipes this spring. Ooooh, it'll be so nice!
Here's my setup, used a $200 universal ebay 2.5" IC kit, but it's not welded up nice like Ian's.
BOV pipe missing, BTW
This bit hangs up higher, but the pipes are disconnected right now.
I have the cheapest of cheap I/C's, CXRacing.
3" thick, 3"in/out, fits without any cutting, but a turbo-A duct would greatly help airflow seeing as more than half is covered.
I just left the TB on the picture to provide continuity for future postings/readers. The canister purge line shoud be run so it can release the vapors somewhere safe, so I would recommend piping the canister to somewhere more convienient like a fender well. Using a smaller canister will help it...
I think you're mistaking the union for the air control valve. The union screws into the front of the stock manifold, and the air control valve mounts to the power steering pump, under the accordian hose. The union joint is the large, hollow fitting on the front of the stock manifold that is the...
I'm running one of those, they're referred to as Divorced Downpipes. The one you have pictured is also recirculated, there are open wastegate ones too, but they make a lot of noise compared to the recirculated style.
I like mine and it performs well, but it's a PITA to install and remove.
Hey, Christmas came early this year when I was cleaning out the New Old Stock shelves in parts! I scored a BRAND NEW Toyota Radio/Tape/CD player for uber cheap! Been on the shelf for 6 years! Don't know if it works, but if it doesn't I'm not out any cash. However, if it does, I got a freakin...
I haven't heard that saying, but usually if the top end needs work, the bottom end is in similar condition and needs attention too.
The only reason I'd think coolant eating bearings is if the engine was run with milkshake oil- it shreds bearings quick.
Start with a good quality oil pressure...
Here's my revised edition. It should be easier to set up than what you had. If there are extra ports open, just cap them off for the time being.
When you do get a new BVSV, you need to hook it's vacuum source up to a timed vacuum port, not a constant vacuum port. Time ported vacuum is when...
