Considering that if an injector goes bad (especially under increased boost) and leans a cylinder out, it has the same effect as taking a plasma torch to the piston top. Go for it ;)
(make sure you post pics)
This is borderline...it looks an awful lot like a for sale thread. And, you can't do that here yet. Considering it has no useful value otherwise, this thread is closed. Consider this a warning.
Going to a full flow T-stat controlled cooler circuit will have the same effect as pinching the line on your stock cooler ;)
40 psi at 3000 is ok. I'm betting you have a stuck open squirter bolt too.
It's actually at a Safeway store nearby (B20) and is the same price (or a bit less) than diesel at other locations. My wife shops at Safeway and she gets 10% off on gas/diesel purchases.
Bio-diesel has a higher cetane, but slightly lower BTU content than regular diesel. It's also a...
That's a step in the right direction...looks like it's for only the 5W-30 right now. I would like to see some more specific data on the oil. The company does not publish a spec sheet on their oil as far as I can see. Tests on how well it resists breaking down and how well it stays in...
Just replace the gasket vs playing "what if"...that game is not played in the Tech Sections. We need facts and right now the only one is a leaky manifold gasket that must be replaced.
If it runs bad after you replace it, then post. Thread closed.
When I 1st read this, I thought it was a joke ;)
It is not rated by API...therefore, it does not have the SM rating. Pay close attention to how they word it:
They say it's for engines that "require" the SM rating...they never say it's an API SM oil. You have to pay attention to...
The squirters are 2 piece...the part you described (nozzle) and the bolt. The bolt is what controls oil flow through the nozzle...it has a ball and spring inside that will allow flow at ~40 psi. The bolt spring wears out and can open earlier, causing a pressure drop (the sensor reads along the...
Are you using the stock filter head?
Did you replace the piston squirter bolts during the rebuild?
I would test with a mechanical gauge at the stock sensor location.
If the AC button is depressed or you have your foot on the gas pedal while checking codes, a code 51 will always appear...it is an indication of IDL...it's simply a switch that tells the ECU when the TB plate is open/closed. It's a real time code (the only one)...think about it, if the TB plate...
