89 is an odd year, where it seams that they used everything left over from 88s in some, and the rest is 90+ stuff. The wiring will be a combination of both. I had to use BIC mounts in my 89.
Ill be the guy to say this then.
If you are going single in the near future (1 year or so), GO SINGLE NOW.
Doing a single swap when the engine is in the car will make you hate it, and the people that designed it.
Aristo only came with a 2jz, more wiring but I would do it over the 1jz any day of the week.
The soarer is more wiring.
With either the soarer and the aristo, you need the 1jz bellhousing and flywheel.
The 4.30 will be fine untill you see over 116-118mph traps with the stock red line, 4.30s and a 26" tall tire.
For a blown 350 bashing imports, that monte is damn slow and his 60' is horrid.
Grab some slicks and skinnies, or some drag radials, put some good gas in and raise the boost.
I haven't had any problems with my FAL fans. Must just be where I live (doesn't get over 90 much in the summer) and the fact I don't drive it in traffic much.
Little off topic, but my autococker is almost ball on ball at 75' (w/ 13bps and a 23x chrono through a cheap 16" J&J)
Back on topic:
That thing is fucking SWEEEET.
Do not point a gun at someone if your intent is not to kill them.
And if he was shot due to his threatening the op, well, he probably will not be alive to tell his side of the story. There will be one side of the story, yours. Easier for self defence.
