    ARP mains

I use 85 ft/lbs. It's important to do them in steps 30/60/85 and crisscross starting at the centre and work out in a spiral. You also want to torque them to 80 using the above method (saving 85 for the final install) and then undo them in sequence 2>3 times to burnish the threads as you...

ok...think I need help with transmission issue

Was just asking as w58's have a bad habit of eating the hardening off the nose of the mainshaft, this allows the Input shaft to wobble around and cause the issue you're describing. When you go for reverse nudge the shifter towards a forward gear for a sec this should stall the mainshaft and...

LOL @ Epoxy...... Grab a 7/16th inhex socket and do a little grinding till it just fits and hammer it in and undo.

    n/a high rpm build

Problem with changing the clock to raise the rev limit is it's a global change that affects all the ECU calculations. (fuel and timing) If the OP is serious he'll use a standalone. I was running my GTE at 8300 for long pulls year before last and for this you need the very best valvetrain...

ok...think I need help with transmission issue

No probs. Reverse is always going to be a bit grindy, when yout trans is in neutral with the clutch out idling doe it make noise? (foot on the clutch noise goes away?) I had a good run with ACT clutches when I have my w58 not sure who has the best prices I'd just hit up a few of our...

ok...think I need help with transmission issue

Adjustment costs nothing and could solve it for now. Usually a mechanical failure (broken pivot ring or diaphram) will be audible in use.

Ok as the cluth wears you get less freeplay rather then more. Try adjusting some out and see how it goes.

ok...think I need help with transmission issue

Temp fix is to adjust some of that freeplay out at the clevis up on the pedal. (is this a GE or a GTE?)

I think i might have blown my HG (update: Confirmed BHG)

Check the rubber cap on the hardline near the firewall. Also check all of the 90 degree rubber bends at the back of the motor.
