Most stock Ignition systems I see are so far past their useby dates they fall over at low rpm/boost.
It takes a very good Ignition to light off the fuel/air under boost, higher the boost/cylinder pressures the harder it is.

Buy the kit do the test then you will know for sure one way or the other.

If you even suspect a BHG buy a test kit from Napa for combustion gases in the Coolant, carefully read the directions perform the test then base further decisions on the outcome.
