    Get a bud to help have a read of the TRSM and go for it :) It's really basic and you'll save $500. Make a day of it, cooler with some drinks and a pizza and if you get stuck at all jump in here and ask.

    Yes and that was being conservative, it can be done much quicker if everything is laid out ready to go.

    Tim: No probs I call it as I see it ;) I'm pretty damn happy with my Koni Coilovers the "Aussie Tim" (Actually Marco) that built them did a great job on the valving.

    I have a bunch more but I wanted good res so they're HUGE files ;) I did this BEFORE handing my brand new head to the porter so there wouldn't be any "wet surprises" when I got it back.

    The rear section is a bonded tube in a tube and over time the bond fails and the shaft goes out of phase causing the symptoms described.

    Damn this is like pulling teeth...... Do this test it's NOT rocket science and you can either confirm or discount it as the cause.

    My point about the head deforming is when noobs pull it down to 85ft/lbs in one pass. 3 passes is plenty. The heads on these motors aren't as "strong" as you seem to think, I was shocked when I sectioned one.

    LOL not that I'm saying to do it but I used to use my starter to get the car back in the shed when it was a manual (after breaking it bad enough that it wouldn't run) My drive is uphill!
