For the average Joe the weighbridge will be close enough......
If you're racing it as a class car you'll more than likely have a set of scales or access to them.
You also need to factor in the fuel load and the driver weight if you're going to corner weight the car.
Mine is just under $200 to fill at today's price so I just put it on Plastic and ignore it ;) (There's plenty of $$ to cover it but on the card it's mickey mouse money ie: not real so it doesn't hurt)

This could be something as simple as an incorrectly assembled hose fitting, what did you change when you went back to the CT?
Matt: Yes run the drain into a bucket and run the motor for 1 (one) minute at idle and then measure how much is in the bucket.
