    And the fun begins!

Two to three coils per hole. Helicoils are quite short and for peace of mind I'd wind the 1st one in almost to the bottom then wind a couple more in. It will be as strong if not stronger than the original hole and will use stock size hardware. This is of course after crack testing the...

Helicoil x 2>3 would be the better option. There's not a lot of meat in the head for a bigger stud and even then there's less room for a bigger nut and washer.

Most 7M dampers you'll find will be in the same boat. You don't have many options, new is a joke price wise and ATI's is a bit pricy. Not sure about there but here there's a few places that can rebuild/rebond them and this is cost effective. Another alternative would be to fit a new Key...

Be very careful lifting it out as it's really easy to hurt your back. (unscrewing the studs will make it 1000x easier)

Nope they're offset stock. Was there 10 degrees "play" in the key? (that's a HUGE amount)

I use a small pair of wire cutters and squash the end of the rivet then pull it out the other side. It works perfectly and doesn't mark the gasket at all. It all needs to be clean enough to eat off before you start spraying. DON'T let the layers touch before they're on the studs as...

I just pull #1 plug slide a chopstick in then turn the crank slowly watching the chopstick rise, when it stops check the timing mark, if the pully is ok it'll line up with the 0 on the timing case.

Damn that sort of sucks! If you pull the head now you'll have to totally strip the Viton using paint thinner. Check the head for straightness/flatness using a machinists straight edge and feeler gauges. Wash the head and Deck surfaces with thinner. Seperate the main layers and spray...
