    My Crank shop used their CNC to do the work based on a Cosworth counterweight profile, we removed as much as possible without upsetting the inherent balance of the I-6 crank. Once you get to this point it's a bit of a juggling act weight wise, remove too much and you get a funky balance...

    "others" are wrong..... Anything over 5mm and you risk coil bind in the spring and uncontrolled pressure spikes when the oil is coldNthick ;) As always I have a reason for doing things I really don't just pull this stuff out of my ass.

    ANYTHING to do with a cooling system failure IS something to be very worried about with a 7M....... Check the right angle hose on the hardpipe back there for starters. I wouldn't drive it until it's sorted as you have the potential to do $$$'s of damage.
