I'm old I remember these things ;)
(the other less accurate way is to carbon it up with a rich torch flame then heat till the carbon burns off and it's around about the correct temp)
TNR: Nothing fancy just make sure all of the hardware you're going to use is installed and torqued to spec including the Cam belt tensioner.
ie: Main studs and Head studs, same style HG (I keep a dead one for this), the guys doing the actual boring "should" cover the rest but if they're...
You're thinking of the inbuilt W2A Heat exchangers on stationary engines that are part of the intake.
A proper W2A IC system is active cooling so doesn't suffer the heatsoak of an A2A IC in low speed situations so for the real world they're actually better just heavier and more complex.
Better to keep it isolated.
The kit I have here will easily support 450 I swapped it out when I got over 500 and you're correct it's so much better than A2A for stop start.
If you want it PM me and we'll discuss a price as I'm not going to use it again.
You'll still need to anneal Aluminium no matter which one if you want pretty beads, grab a bar of soap and some water lather up your hands and wipe on where the bead is going to be then grab a heat source ie: Oxy torch and heat until the soap turns black.
Bingo annealed aluminium to T0 ready...
CJ: I did the Datto a little different I used 2 x single circuit masters side by side for front/rear, I was going to use a mechanical balance bar between them but ended up using a proportioning valve instead.
Punching the bores out that much isn't going to give a noticable increase in power but if anything goes wrong the block is junk.
Do a good solid basic build then do all of the usual power adding mods.
There is a HUGE amount of information here on building the 7M take some time to read it...
Seen many many Porsche drilled rotors with cracks so I guess they should be buying the magic powerslots that don't crack......:nono:
You are drilling a stress riser into the disc, if the hole was honed and the chamfer micropolished it would improve the cracking situation.
Look at a...
If you want round straight bores quite important if not not so much.... ;)
Initial ring seal will be faster/sooner if bored and honed using a plate.
