Over the years I've painted a whole bunch of cars at home in the shed, here's the Z straight off the gun un buffed a week after I painted it.
The secret is in the prep work you can't shortcut it.

My car has spent 16 hours on the dyno in the last 6 months without a single failure so it can be done you just need to be smart about it and follow Mike's advice.
LMAO now your gay comment in the V8 thread is starting to make some sense :evil2:
While I'm flattered and mildly curious I think I'll pass on playing with your Silicone!
The composite HG acts as a burst panel during detonation and can save the engine from mechanical damage so can be a good thing.
Rgr 2j HG is an MLS stock.
Nothing I can do or say here will make things better but if you need to talk anytime PM me me Ryan.
(been in and out of hospital a lot so have an idea)
Dave: He has next to no fuel controls so the chances that he'll detonate it are better than even if he keeps pushing the envelope.
Yes a composite HG can be fine if kept out of detonation.
I may be an asshole but I DON'T build grenades....
Leave it alone until you can afford/have time to do it properly, cranking more boost/power into it as it is will only end one way and then it will cost you triple to repair...... :nono:
Don't think it's so much "hate" as it is people being realists
An NA Supra is neither quick nor fast 200hp at the crank and a 3500+ Lb car is never going to be either anyone that thinks differently is just deluding themselves.
Local company Wade Cams here in Australia, they're hard face welded so the same shit they use on the teeth on Bulldozer buckets, been running them for years now and there's 0 wear.
Back when I had them done Billets were rare and I didn't want a reduced base circle.
