Lower one is correct the open part of the bonded tube in a tube faces the Diff.
Check that the Uni Joints are in exact line with each other as this is a huge cause of drivetrain harshness in these cars due to the rubber bonding failing over the years and slipping out of phase.
I'm guessing a little play here and there in everything is be accentuated by the huge rear offset.

I seal any tank I've welded to prevent problems further down the track.
The tank in the car now is 115 litres so 30 Usgallons.
Any of the GT30r's are going to flow more and spool sooner than a CT... :nono: (assuming cost isn't a factor)
For that matter a 3540r with a tight AR turbine housing will spool sooner and still make more power even if it chokes the top end.
