Chances are run like it is it will fail if you crank the boost up.
The dark marks are errosion lows and as long as they're not under the actual gasket should be fine.
Change that to "forced induction" 2 stage Merlin springs to mind ;)
I have no input on altitude tuning as our biggest mountain is a speed bump so it's not something I've ever had to learn.
I remember coming onto Conrod very sideways in a VH Charger and there was a group of tourists in a bus stopped and lined up across the track taking pics :D (wonder if any of em captured the moment before running screaming)
LOL as bad as that pic shows is FAR worse than I'd bother repairing on a Mk3 sorry ;)
A bigger concern would be the stooges that buy these cars with huge plans get 25% through and part them out once they realise they don't have the skills/smarts/money to actually finsh a car and drive it...
