A few of the race teams here have had issues getting a balance using that sort of sensor, if it's an issue have the tire shop try the tire in a few different positions to get the minimal amount of weight added.

The straight cuts have chamfered leading edges to allow them to mesh easier if you grind it a lot it takes this edge off and gets worse.

If it is again only a guess but I'd think you'd use minimal dwell ie: 1 Ms or so as it's only telling the Ignitor "NOW is on time do your thing"

Would depend of you're running smart of dumb ignitors, I always use dumb and let the ECU control it as I can have a High/Low Dwell table mapped to boost.
