Never understood the idea of holding the blades while you crank it to get pressure there isn't enough airflow to rotate it at cranking speeds and even if it did it isn't going to damage the bushes.
Diff housing = steel back casing that bolts into the subframe
Nodular Iron housing = Front cast section that holds the gears and differential assembly and bolts into the Falcon housing in the subframe ;)

Wouldn't matter what size pistons are in the calliper you shouldn't have to pump the pedal, all that's affected by piston size is force required at the pedal to stop the car.
