    I disagree it's DAMN hard finding places for things in a Mk3 due to the small frontal area! In my UTE I could run a 10" thick IC and still have room for AC and coolers ;)

    Happy with my dual Aeromotive Tsunami's in tank and PWM'd by the MoTeC. Trying closed loop returnless fuel control this time so no FPR at all.

    Adam: I usually go by how wide the part lines are, narrow is usually cast wide is forged.

    I don't think TX's answer was in any way "Crap".... :nono: Returnless makes a whole bunch of sense for many reasons. I haven't ran Propane in my car for years now.

    Shorter shaft sections raise the critical speed of a driveshaft, it's "smoother" for longer.

    I was 99% sure they were forged but I'll have a close look at one of my spares when I get a chance to confirm. I agree though the offset mounts are the way to go.

    I'd say anything more than 1/32 of a turn would be "bad", but the condition of the pinion bearings will determine how stuffed it is Ken. (I've killed 2 sets) If the old 2 piece was out of phase it's more than likely hammered the pinion bearings into submission.

    Jack it up in neutral park brake on firm and see if you can move the driveshaft, then park brake off and turn the shaft and see if you can feel any harshness in the front diff bearings.

    compresion test went real bad

    From memory an uncut block is 198.5mm from the Deck to the Crank Tunnel.
